Chapter 6 - BonFire

The bell finally rang for last period to end. Parker grabbed his bag off the ground and flung it around his shoulder then hurried towards the door. The sound of that bell shutting Diaz up was the most beautiful thing Parker ever herd. For some reason he had Mr.D as his teacher, at the very least twice every year...freshmen year he had Diaz for all his classes.

" Parker, wait!" Anna's voice echoed through the hallway, Parker turned around to see her carrying a mountain of books. He smiled and jogged to meet her, and scooped off most of the books then looked at Anna. " There's that smile" Her eyes gleamed and she bumped shoulders with Parker. Blake and Jess walked around the corner and passed each other without any words. Jess stopped after she passed Anna, and Anna stopped too. Almost as if they had both walked into a wall, together they turned and slowly scowled at each other. Parker and Blake shared confused looks as the girls looked like they were going to pounce on each other at any moment. Parker reached around and put his hand on Anna's shoulder blade and guided her down the hallway, slowly. She turned around and took a deep breath in. " Anna...what was that," Parker asked slowly and cautiously. Determined to hide what just happened, Anna's eyes shifted back and forth. " I don't think Jessica likes me..." Anna quietly said. What was Anna talking about? Girls just don't do that...it was so damn weird. " Anna..." Parker trailed off. They finally got outside and Anna looked up towards the sunny sky. Her brown hair shimmered against the sunlight. " I really can't explain what just happened, Parker." She spun around and smiled at him.

Just before Parker could answer a group from the football team ran around them and started checking Anna out as the jumped and hollered around their team captain. " You coming to the bush party tonight Riveria?" One tall red haired kid asked. The rest of the group made ape noises, this made Anna giggle. Parker laughed and shoved him away, " Anna, are you going? " Blake Put his arm around Anna and Kept his eyes locked with Parkers. Blake shuttered a bit and took his arm off Anna, he looked at her like she just stabbed him but she smiled and looked innocently up at Blake then Parker. " Will, you be there.." She asked Parker. Blake snapped out of it and walked over to Parker and punched him in the arm. "He's going to be there!" Blake answered. Parker smiled and shoved his friend away then walked closer to Anna. He loved how he towered over her, and how he could just kiss her forehead. Slowly he lifted his hand and moved the one strand of hair behind her ear. " You should go, it's fun. Its just our way of kicking off the new school year." Anna's stomach bust with butterflies and she slid her hand up Parkers arm to place it over his on her cheek. " I'd love to." She quietly whispered. Parker smiled his eyes glistened. The white specs intensified and struck Anna with awe. They both moved their hands and walked towards their cars, Parker walked Anna to her catty ( Which he so happen to be in love with ). Parker opened the door and Anna sat in. He handed her, her keys and leaned on the car looking down at her. " I can text you the location. I'll meet you there?" He never took his eyes off Anna, they were brown and absolutely stunning. So simple and radiant. Anna nodded and shut the door. " Anna...what happened last night...were you here when Travis was over." Anna felt her body tense up but she looked and remained calm, and confused like she should. " No, I tucked you into bed then left. They must have came in after I was gone...why...is Mira okay?" Anna looked worried...although she felt gross inside. She knew exactly what happened... she almost witnessed Mira being raped...then drank from that very guy. Parker lost himself in his mind. He could usually hear other peoples thoughts or if they were lying he knew. But Anna was so quiet... her body and mind had no trace of life or any other human feelings. She confused him, her body movements wern't even normal. maybe she's like him. Should he ask her? what if she thinks he's a freak... Parker smiled at Anna and shrugged then tapped the roof of her car. " Drive safe. If you want me to pick you up I will." Parker looked up to Mira chaseing Travis around crying like an idiot. Parker sighed. " Parker...I will meet you there. Pinkie swear" Anna held up her pinkie finger and smiled. Returning her a smirk, Parkers pinkie linked with Anna's and they both smiled brightly at eachother.Their Pinkies unattatched and Anna started up her car and backed up, and drove past him.
