" Why are you here?" Mira coldly asked her grandfather. She crossed her arms and scowled at him, raising one eye brow. Her grandfather sat dimly under the low lights while Dante sat quietly next to him. The house was quiet, and it irritated Mira more. Her grandfather brought nothing but terror, he didn't even show up at his eldest sons funeral. He disgusted her, the only thing she inherited from his was his blue eyes and his temper. Patrick had almost white, blue eyes. He had a full head of raven black hair, his skin was leathery and wrinkly, and his smile was devilish. " Well?!" Mira snapped again, making Dante jump.
" Mira... " Uncle whispered, while Patrick just laughed.
" I am here to see Parker. I was asked to come here." Patrick's cold voice crept across the room, like a snake. He was illuminated by darkness, it floated and breathed inside him. Mira could feel it, she took a deep breath in. His eyes blazed with a dark blue and his face was stern. Mira shook her head and rolled her eyes. " By who? Because we sure as hell didn't call y-" cutting her off the door flew open.
" Hello, Grandfather. Why are you here." Parks voice struck the darkness that fed off Patrick. Their grandfather turned around from the marble counter and smiled at his grandson.
" I think its time we got to know about each other." Patrick's voice rumbled across the house.
Parker rolled his eyes and shut the door behind him. " I don't want to get to know you. And I don't want you to know me." He said sternly while he slipped his work boots off and walked towards the counter.
" Dad, maybe you can be more... straight up with us as to why you are here..." Dante softly asked from across the island. Patrick shuffled in his seat and groaned. " An old friend of mine, who still lives here...has noticed a change and uproar within this household. He told me it was in my grandchildren's best interest to have me here."
Mira snorted and walked into the kitchen in a huff. Parker took a seat and rested his head in his hands. " So... your 'friend' is someone we know?" Parker asked. Patrick slowly nodded his head, watching his grandson with anticipating eyes. " He teaches at your school. Mr. Diaz. " Parker and Dante both looked at each other.
" So, I have decided to move in." Patrick slowly stood up and straightened his back. Bone cracks and muscle stretching was herd and Parker stood up just as fast. " That's not your decision!" Mira shouted from across the room.
The four of them fell silent. Patrick breathed in deep and hard before patting his youngest son on the shoulder. " Take my bags upstairs boy." Dante nodded and grabbed his fathers suit case. Dante was afraid of his dad, he couldn't stand him. He drove his mother insane, and he made his older bothers life hell. Dante remembered all this martial arts and survival training Patrick bestowed on his sons. Of course, he quit teaching them when Richie met June, they fell in love and Patrick called it a distraction. And Dante wasn't fit for the training. When he reached the top of the stairs and looked at the many rooms. The guest room between his and Parkers as probably the best bet. The room had absolutely nothing in it, accept some old boxes, a dresser, a small window and a small T.V. The bed creeked when his suit cases were thrown onto it. Dante sighed. He could hear the rumble of his fathers voice down stairs, but he didn't want to hear what he was saying. Dante was his fathers biggest disappointment.
" Have you been in love, boy?" Patrick demanded from across the room to his grandson.
" Who hasn't." Parker snapped back.
" Are you still?"
" Not with the same girl."
" But you are in love now?"
" Not yet."
" You must not allow those feelings to blossom."
" Why."
