Chapter 9 -Grandpa

" Hey, Parker! Man over here!" off to the distance of the school parking lot, Blake sat on the tail gate of his new truck. His long blonde hair covering his face, due to excessive wind. Marie and Jess stood by him, with a smug look on their faces. Josh Luck, who was our right wing in football, stood watching Jess like all he wanted to do was rip her cloths off right there and then. Josh was a tall guy, he was more toned and muscular then Parker was, and he had brown hair, but it was buzzed off at the moment. He had piercing brown eyes and was quite tall, he always had a thing for Jess...which worried Parker when they were dating. Josh has a strong southern accent because he originally is from Texas, which also got him a lot of chicks. Also the fact that he was a year older then them all...gave him an advantage...Typical jock right here.

 " Yeah man...stop being a fucking loser and come chill!" Tyler Caldwin shouted from Marie's side. Ty was a foreward. He wasn't as strong and built as Josh, but he had a nice tone to him.  Tyler had long rocker black hair that swerved to one side. Of course, Tyler had every inch of his body tattooed up. Girls attacked him, never would look at him and think 'football player' you would think ' emo pot head who hates life and worships satan' but turns out...those 'emo kids' aren't like that. look at Ty! He also had soft baby blue eyes and was extremely tall. He also had a sweet little baby face, but if you tell him that...you can count on a punch in the face.

" Okay!" Parker shouted, shaking his head and laughing. He turned to walk towards the truck and looked up at his friends. Jess snorted and Marie smiled.

Everyone started talking small talk...then out of the mumbles of different conversations, Jessica spoke up.

" So, you and new girl huh?" Jess looked away and her words pierced everyone. All four of them stared daggers at her, when she just looked away at the highway.

" We aren't a thing. Calm down Jessi, " Jessica's face shot red at the glared at Parker.

" And so what if they are? It's honestly none of your concern. You're his ex. Get that through your head." Blake's strong voice rumbled in behinds Parkers, He was stern and cold. Marie turned to him and her eyes met Jess', then at the ground.

Jessica looked from side to side at everyone. She even raised her eye brows at Josh. Almost like he knew, he spoke up.

" Shoot, guys Jess ain't tryin' to piss anyone off, she just tryin ta protect an old friend. An they are exes...but that don't mean every shred of feelin's just fell outta their hearts."

Everyone was silent after Josh spoke. " Wow, that's probably the most you've gone without talking about sex or making a joke since I've met you. Congrats man!" Blake reached over, with a big smile, and hit josh in the arm supportively. Josh looked towards Jess and she rolled her eyes.

" But you are wrong, My feelings like that...aren't there anymore..." Parker paused then looked form Josh to Jess " Jessica." Parker chimed in, and broke the awkward smiling between everyone. Jessica's eyes shot up instantly to meet Parkers. She was shocked, her mouth fell open and she shook her head twice slowly while keeping in eye contact. Did her eyes shimmer a neon yellow? ah, he must have been seeing things. Although, Everyone fell silent again.

" Now this shit is just awkward" Tyler said resting himself against the tailgate of Blake's truck.

" Well. I can tell when I'm not wanted. " Jessica spoke harshly and turned around and started walking towards her car. Heals clicking against the pavement of the school parking lot. After she got a couple steps away, Marie looked at Josh, with wide eyes that said ' lets go follow her', then she turned to Tyler and smiled and patted her pocket in her tight blue skinny jeans, that held an iPhone. He nodded, then Josh and Marie trailed off after Jess.
