Yours to Hold

10 - Andrew

I was trying to absorb the situation that had just occured. I was kissing Lillith, the girl I had allowed myself to get close to. She was the only person that I let break the barrier that surrounded my heart. I had grown to care for this girl deeply, even though I had known her for a short amount of time.

I let my lips linger on hers for a moment longer, before pulling away to see her reaction. She was in shock, it appeared. I suddenly felt ashamed of my foolish actions, and turned to leave. That was when she stopped me by pulling on the collar of my jacket, her lips crushing against my own. It was my turn to be stiff with shock. But without hesitation, I returned her kiss, holding her face with my hands as our lips brushed against each other in a way that seemed hesitant.The kiss was sweet and tender, and it was testing the both of us.

To be frank, this was my very first kiss. I was very positive that this was her first as well. However, I felt no regret nor anything of the sort. If I were to have shared my first kiss with a woman, I was glad that it was with Lillith.

I could feel my heart pounding against my chest as we continued to kiss, feeling her arms wrap around my neck as she pulled me closer. I was happy to oblige as I wrapped my arms around her slim waist, pulling her against me. Feeling more confident, I brushed the tip of my tongue against her bottom lip, asking for permission to enter. I felt her shiver at the touch, but without hesitation, she parted her lips, welcoming my advance as our tongues touched.

A surge of what felt like static electricity flow through my veins, and I was sure that she felt it too. I heard her let out a soft moan as our tongues danced, and I couldn't help but smirk against her lips as I pulled her onto my lap, her hands wounding themselves into my dark hair. The need for air was upon us, I realized, then forced myself to pull away from her lips, my eyes open half-way as hers did the same.

It was dead quiet as we both stared into each other's eyes, bewildered of what we just did. Lillith was the first to break the slience. "Wow..." she spoke barely above a whisper with a surprised smile on her face.

"Wow doesn't even come close." I teased with a smirk, causing her to let out a small giggle. We sat like that for what seemed like an eternity; holding each other and staring into one another's eyes. We couldn't think of anything to say; we were still trying to absorb the situation.

"So... what does this make us?" I heard Lillith ask me, eyes questioning and full of hope, something I didn't expect to see.

I opened my mouth to reply, but what sounded like a man clearing his throat interrupted me. The both of us jumped in surprise to find Officer Cain leaning against the doorway, gazing at us with a quirked up eyebrow. I could feel my face heat up in embarrassment, and I could see the girl in my arms was beet red in the face too.

"I leave you two alone for one minute, and this is what happens." I heard the man speak, and if I didn't know any better, I would say that he was trying his hardest not to smile. Lillith's face turned bright red as she looked down nervously, only for the older male to laugh and smile at us both.

"I'm not mad, you two. I'm just surprised that you two got together in such a short amount of time." He chuckled, while Lillith attempted to climb off my lap.

However, I refused to let her go as I gently held her by the waist, smirking mentally to myself as I watched her turn to me with wide eyes. Cain smiled at both of us, arms crossed before standing straight once again.

"You better take care of my girl, Andrew." He spoke with a tender tone, earning a nod from me in return. With that, he walked back up the stairs, leaving both Lillith and I alone.

The female turned to me with a bright red face, and I could feel that her heart was racing against her chest. I could tell she wanted to say something, due to the questioning look in her eyes. Before she could speak, I cut her off with a tender kiss on her lips, feeling her return it eagerly. I didn't know it then, but our biggest challenge would be upon us. A threat that I never saw coming...
