IN SCHOOL
Radhika stepped into the classroom, her eyes fell on her familiar group and saw Baladev and Revati were already seated together on the second bench while Madhav sat alone , beside him a seat was empty by the window.
He had saved it.
She noticed.
A small smile tugged at her lips ---brief, fleeting, so faint it could have gone unnoticed.
But Madhav saw it.
Of course he did. He always did.
As she approached them and Revati glanced up and gestured the spot beside Madhav. He stood without a word, shifting slightly to the edge of the bench, creating space for her at the window.
Baladev sighed , " Mein toh uss chote se mid break pr kuch kha bhi nhi paya. Abhi bhi ek period pura baki h lunch break k liye."
("I didn't even get to eat anything during that tiny mid-break! And there's still a full period left until lunch.")
Revati slapped her forehead.
Radhika let out a genuine laugh , light, melodic. Madhav chuckled beside her, the tension momentarily lifted.
