The taxi stopped in front of her apartment.

Radhika stepped out quietly, wiping her eyes again and again with the back of her hand, forcing her breathing to steady. She tilted her face upward, blinking hard until the tears stopped threatening to spill.

"Not now... Masi shouldn't see this." She murmured to herself and entered the building, climbed the stairs slowly , finally unlocked the door.

The moment she stepped inside, her Masi looked up from the sofa, surprised.

"Arre? You came back so early?" she asked, adjusting her spectacles. "What happened? Weren't you going out?"

Radhika slipped off her footwear, keeping her head slightly lowered.
"Haan, Masi... I was just too tired," she replied calmly. "That crowd was... overwhelming."

Her Masi studied her face for a second longer than Radhika liked.
"Where did you go, waise?"

Radhika hesitated for half a heartbeat, then answered honestly,
"A movie promotion... by Madhav Mudgalkar."

Her Masi's eyes widened instantly.

"WHAT?" she exclaimed, half amused, half shocked. "You went there? If you had told me earlier, I would have come too! That boy is everywhere these days."

Radhika let out a small, controlled smile.
"You would have hated the crowd, Masi."

Her Masi chuckled.
"Haan, maybe. But still..."

Radhika rubbed her temples lightly.
"I really need sleep... at least three hours."

Her Masi nodded, immediately softening.
"Go, beta. You look exhausted."

Radhika didn't reply. She simply nodded and walked toward her room. The door closed behind her with a soft click.

And that was it, the moment she was alone, the calm shattered. Her back slid against the door as she exhaled deeply, eyes closing for a second as if the weight of the evening finally caught up to her.

Her hands trembled as she pulled out her phone.

The screen lit up.

70 MISSED CALLS

Her eyes widened.
"Oh God..." she muttered, slapping her forehead lightly. "I forgot about her completely."

Without wasting another second, she dialed her friend's number. The call barely rang once before it was answered.

"RADHIKA SINGH!!!" her friend screamed into the phone.
"DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA WHAT YOU HAVE DONE?!"

Radhika pulled the phone slightly away from her ear, wincing.
"Lower your voice a little, my dear" she whispered urgently. "What happened?"

"What happened?!" her friend shrieked.
"GIRL---THE ASIAN AND INDIAN SOCIAL MEDIA HAS GONE INSANE OVER YOUR EYE CONTACT WITH MADHAV MUDGALKAR FOR THOSE FEW MINUTES!!!"
