Chapter 7 The Trags

Sorry for the wait... Alot of school work. I'll try to write more. And like I said this chapter is in 1st person. If you don't like it let me know and I'll revert back to third person

Standing on the deck I could imagine the duels I would have the people I would meet the strength I would gain. This was my first step and apparently I wasn’t the only one excited because behind me I heard a loud a loud yell. “WOOOOOOOHOOOOO,” I turned around to see a Slifer student hanging off of the ships railing. Ignoring him I went back into the ship to find my bags. An Hour later the ship finally docked and I walked off the ship and watched it slowly drift away. I sighed, this was it. There was no turning back now, here I am Kai Takashimori going to duel academy. Once the ship was gone a loud gruff voice came from behind.

“Welcome Duelist to Duel Academy! Please follow me for the Welcome Assembly.”

Turning around I saw that the speaker was a man wearing a purple shaded obelisk uniform. Someone behind me said that he was one of the examiners of the school so I proceded to follow him. Once we got to the Auditorium I sat down in one of the chairs and waited for the assembly. Once the assembly started I quickly lost interest until the chancellor stood up. He had blue hair, wired rim glasses, and shy voice. It was the legendary Syrus Truesdale. Chancellor Truesdale was calm as he spoke.

“Alright Now that the greetings are out of the way I have two more announcements. First, there will be a tournament in 2 weeks. Teams of 3 will duel against other teams, students will have 1 week to form your teams. Secondly there are a group of students who have suddenly lost their rank as obelisk and Ra students, by losing a duel with students who call themselves the Trags and unfortunately due to the new rule put in place by Crowler before he left if you lose to them… You will return to the Slyfer dorm… Well now that’s out of the way I hope you have a great first day.”

Chancellor Truesdale then dismissed the entire student body. As I was lead toward the Obelisk Blue dorm I began to wonder about the group called the Trags. Why would Chancellor Truesdale be unable to change the rule? Shouldn’t the chancellor have all the power?

Once I entered the dorm and found my room I saw a letter on my bed. Opening it I saw that it was a letter of challenge, from Tia. I sighed, How did she find out my name? I don’t remember telling her it. Sighing I looked at my deck. It wasn’t anything that great… But I couldn’t think of any way I would lose to her. Taking my deck I began to walk to the place where she had outlined. Once I got there I saw her dueling someone already. But once I got close enough she was already on the ground looking defeated. Her opponent was wearing a black uniform that had the word TRAGS printed across it. Her opponent walked slowly over to her and took both her deck and her jacket and turned his head toward me. Pulling up his duel disk he seemed ready for a duel. Sighing I had no choice but to comply. I couldn’t watch someone deck be taken. Lifting my duel disk I said, “DUEL.”
