"She really said yes?" Carlos asked.
"Yep, I've got training after school at her house." I anwsered.
"And you better not be late." Alex said walking up to us.
"Hey Alex" I said as she slumped over to us with her cruches.
"What happened to you?" Carlos asked.
"Vampire crushed her leg and being half vampire she doesn't heal as fast as other vampires do." I explained.
"Hey Alex!! Can't run so well anymore can you!!" Marvin teased as he walked up to us.
Alex just looked at me and hissed, showing her fangs and blood red eyes.
Marvin took one look in her eyes and at her teeth and fainted.
"Says the guy that faints at the sight of my teeth." She laughed turning back to us.
"So, what class do you have next?" I asked.
"Excelled math" Alex anwsered.
"How do you have excelled math, did you go to school when you were younger?" Carlos asked.
"I've lived for a long time, you pick a couple things up here and there." She said.

I walked threw the woods, till I finally reached Alex's house.
She was standing at her front door with Eragon on her shoulder.
"Good your here" she said looking up to me.
"Hey" I said.
"You can put your bag over there." She said pointing to an area where her book bag sat.
I nodded as we walked over to the spot. I placed my nook bag down as she reached into hers and pulled two stakes out.
"Now when your fighting a vampire you always want to have a stake handy." She said handing me one.
"Okay" I said tossing it around in my hand.
"Like any other mythical creature you want to aim for the heart. Its good to hit a vampire with a stake anywhere, but when it's a strong one you go for the heart." She exsplained.
"Okay" I anwsered.
"Now show me how you would strike one in the heart." Alex commanded.
I nodded as I loosened my shoulders. I stood side ways as I swung my arm out with the stake in it. I swung it twords her heart, but stopped right before the stake hit her skin.
"Good, but you have to bend your elbow in just a little and swing faster, so they can't dodge it easily." She said fixing my arm.

After a while she said we can start training in a fight. She grabbed her own stake and I kept the one I already had.
"What about your leg?" I asked not noticing the brace was off.
"Sky said I'm aloud to take it off when I'm at home." She anwsered.
I nodded as we both got into positions.
