(Jakie's pov)
"Jakie wait, I'm sorry I yelled I just don't want you getting hurt I don't know what I woukd do if something happened to you out there." He said as he turned me around and took both of my hands. "Newt I just don't get why your so worried about me I'll be fine out there." I said as I looked into his big eyes. I felt so bad for what I said I wanted to apologize but I couldn't get the words out. "Because I care about you to much. And the maze can mess with your bloody head." He said as he took a seat on a near by rock. "How would you know what happens out in the maze your in the glade all the time, and your not a runner." I said once I tool a seat next to him. He was holding his head in his hands like he was scared of saying something. "I used to be a runner. I can't anymore because of what happened." "What happened?" "I climbed halfway up the bloody maze wall and jumped. I couldn't take this place anymore I didn't want to be here anymore I just wanted to die." He said. He ran his fingers through his hair and stood up and paced back and forth. "Oh my gosh Newt. I never knew if your worried I'll do the something like that I won't do it." I said but once I said it I regretted saying any of it.
I stood up as well and gave him a hug. At first he didn't hug back but after a few seconds he was okay and hugged back. Oh my god! He smells amazing! "Okay you can be a runner but you have to try and not get hurt okay? You have to promise me." He said. He pulled back and looked down at me, as I looked up at him. "I promise thank you so much!" I said as I gave him another hug. He hugged me the instant I touched his chest. I could hear his heat beating, it sounded faster then normal but I didn't worry about it. He was probably just nervous. "We should probably go before anyone finds out we both left and think something happened." He said. This time he took my hand and started walking back to the fire. "Wait there was a different reason why I dragged you out here." I said. He looked back at me with a confused look but he was smiling. "This was the thing I didn't want anyone to see." I walked up to him and kissed him. He kissed back almost instantly, our lips moved in sync with each other. Once we pulled apart he smiled and said, "Oh that's why. And will you, um... go out with me?" I laughed and screamed yes and hugged him and kissed him once more. "Okay now I really think we should leave before someone finds us."I said and he nodded and took my hand and we walked towards the fire as one happy little couple.
