"It's okay, wait Mari?" They said.
"Jack?" I said. It was him, the guy I was dreading to see but also looking forward to seeing.
"I missed you so much." He said, pulling me into a hug.
"I missed you too." I said, hugging back.
"Mari, who's this?" Aidan asked.
"This is Jack. Jack this is Aidan, one of my friends here." I said.
"Hi." Jack said awkwardly.
"Hi! Mari, I'm gonna go in the attic. I'll see you up there. You can come too Jack." Aidan smiled.
"Wanna go?" I asked.
"Sure." Jack smiled. We walked up ther and sat on one of the couches.
"So how you've been?" I asked.
"I've been on tour lately, so really busy. You?" He said.
"I'm gonna go get some beers." Aidan said, leaving.
"Okay! And that's great, Jack! I've got school but I'm ending my 2nd year so my third year. It'll be harder but two years left until I graduate." I said smiling.
"I'm proud of you, babygirl. Can I still call you that?" He said.
"I don't know...if you don't mind me asking, why'd you stop texting me?" I asked.
"I felt like I was annoying you." He said, looking down.
"No excuse for never replying."
"I'm sorry, I really am."
"Are you? Jack, not replying to me made me think you broke the promise."
"I didn't, I love you Mari." He said, looking into my eyes.
"I love you too Jack. But I don't know. I still have two years left of school and you have your career."
"That's why I came to Seattle tonight. I was gonna try to talk to you about something. Jack and I are going to finish our tour and then move out here." He said, smiling
"What? Are you being serious or are you drunk?" I said, laughing.
"100% being serious. We're gonna write music and everything. Might go to digi tour once in a while. But mostly here for you. I missed you. I used to keep it to myself but recently the fans saw through me. They saw I was sad. Little did they know it was because I wasn't with you."
"You're so cheesy, Gilinsky." I said, leaning towards him but got cut off by Aidan bursting in.
"IM BACK- oh shit sorry." He said, slowly backing out. I laughed as he walked out.
"He reminds me of Dylan." Jack said.
"Oh by the way, I heard Jack and Dylan are still going strong. Bea and Sammy got engaged." I said.
"Yup." He said.
"It sucks being thousands of miles away from them."
"I know baby."
"But now I have a piece of Omaha that'll always be with me."
"And what's that?"
"You." I said, kissing him. He smiled in between the kiss. Oh how I missed that smile.
"You're gorgeous." He said, smiling ear to ear.
"You're drunk." I laughed.
