Chapter 20

[Mari]
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!" Jack yelled from the foot of my bed. I looked up and he was holding three balloons and box.

"5 more minutes." I said, pulling the covers over my face.

"I will jump on you." Jack said.

"Please don't."

"Wanna open a gift?"

"Sure." I said, sitting up. Jack walked over to me and handed me the box. I opened the box and it revealed a kitten.

"Do you like her?" He said. I looked up at him with wide eyes and a huge grin. He smiled and picked up the kitten.

"I LOVE HER AND YOU." I said, hugging him.

"It's our child, be careful," he laughed. "What should we name it?"

"Mack."

"Mack?

"It's a combination of our names. Mari and Jack, Mack." I said as I took the kitten from him him.

"Oh clever."

"Well I'm gonna go change." I said getting up and putting the kitten on my bed. I grabbed an outfit and walked into the bathroom. I put on a white sundress with a sweetheart neckline. I curled my hair and applied some light makeup. I put on my black vans and the gold locket necklace. I walked out and saw Jack playing with Mack. I took out my phone and took a quick picture of them.

"Did you just?" Jack said.

"Yes I just." I said, laughing. I said down next to him.

"I hate you." He said as he put him arm around me.

"I hate you too." I said, kissing his cheek.

"Well let's get going."

"Where are we going?"

"You'll see." We got up and Jack put the kitten in a little box by the door that I didn't notice earlier. It had a little bed, food and a toy in it. Jack and I got in his jeep and drove to where ever we were going.

"Okay close your eyes. We're almost there. No peeking!" He said. I put my hand over my eyes. Debating on whether to peek or not. A minute or two later we parked and Jack got out. I was about to uncover my eyes when he opened my door and I got out. He put his hands on my eyes and we walked.

"I'm gonna fall." I said, laughing.

"No you're not," he laughed. "Okay, door." He opened the door and I could hear music playing.

"SURPRISE!!" People yelled, he uncovered my eyes and I saw all my friends and family.

"Oh my go-"

"Happy birthday Mari!" Dylan said.

"Thank you." I said, hugging Dylan.

"This was all Jacks idea." Bea said. I looked over at Jack and he had a huge smile on his face.

"Aw, I love you." I said, giving him a big hug.

"I love you too babygirl." He said.

"OKAY LETS GET SKATING." Jack J said.
