The Unknowing Mistress

The New Owner

It was Wednesday morning and I had to be at work early. I dropped off Serena then headed to work. I got there at quarter to 9 which was the earliest I could get there. I went straight to the front desk and went straight to work. Cecilia was there and Danielle was there already too.

"You have missed the new owner Cordelia he is oh my god hot" Cecilia said gushing.

"Really?" I asked intrigued now. Danielle shrugged meaning she hasn't seen him. "What's his name?" I asked.

"Don't know James grabbed the key for his room so I only saw him from a distant" she said and I was about to ask her what he looks like when she was called. She left and I went to work. She came back after about an hour all red and pissed.

"What happened?" Danielle asked when Cecilia sat with a huff. Danielle was called and Cecilia still didn't answer. I kept working answering phones and doing paper work. Danielle came back with a smile and sat down. I was on the phone so I didn't get the chance to ask her how it went. James came up and tapped me on the shoulder and gestured for me to put the person on the phone on hold. I apologised to the person and placed them on hold. Danielle took the call for me after I told her what they wanted. I got up and headed to the room where the interviews were being held.

I walked in and froze in my place. He was on the phone so he hadn't notice me yet. He turned towards me and his eyes landed on me. He said something on the phone before hanging up. We stared at each other until the other guy in the room asked me to sit down.

I sat in front and fidgeted a bit from the intense stare he was giving me. "So Cordelia Evans my name is Stan Jones and this is Gino Bianchi he has just bought this place and we're going through to thin out the place" Stan said to me. I nodded because I couldn't talk I was so nervous being here with him. "So you've been working here for about six months, you have a daughter" I looked straight at Gino and he looked shocked.

"How hold is she?" Gino asked looking at me.

"2" that's all I said, I looked straight at Gino and he didn't look away I could tell he figured it out that she's his baby but he also looked angry.

"Your work has been great and you haven't had a day off. Who looks after your daughter when you're at work" Stan asked.

"Day care and my parents" I said looking at Stan this time.

"Ok"

"What's her name?" Gino asked. Stan looked at him weird but didn't say anything.

"Serena Louise" I said now looking at Gino.

"That's a pretty name" he said smiling, it's his mothers name he told me when we were on that trip together. She died when he was little and his father went into a depression state. That must have been when their business crashed and he needed help.

"Mr Bianchi and I will get back to you" Stan said with a stare at Gino before dismissing me. I left the room and went straight to the bathroom. Cecilia and Danielle were in there for about an hour but I was in there for only about half an hour.

I went to the toilet and I started to cry and wondering what's going to happen now that Gino knows about Serena. Will he try to take her from me or what. I can't let that happen I will die before that happens. I headed back to the front to see Gino standing there talking to James and Stan. I walked behind the desk and sat down. I looked up and locked eyes with Gino he had something in his eyes that I've never seen before. I looked away when the phone rang and I answered it. I looked up while on the phone but I dropped the phone. I locked eyes with him and he smirked then picked the phone up and handed it to me. "You've dropped something" he said with a smirk. I grabbed it and went back to the call with an apology. I looked up to see him still there looking at me with that look that I can't decipher. I mouthed 'what?' And he smiled his dazzling smile. He finally left before my lunch break so I went for lunch but ran into Gino who was in the staff room.
