The Unknowing Mistress

The Interview

It was the Monday morning of the interview, we were just finishing breakfast when there was a knock on the front door. Gino went to answer it. He walked into the living room with the camera crew behind him and the reporter.

"This is my fiancé Cordelia Evans and our daughter Serena Bianchi and sweetie this is Patrick the reporter" Gino said introducing us. We all talked while I made coffee for them.

"Thanks for coming here it's easier with Serena" I said with a smile handing him a coffee. He smiled and nodded.

"Thank you, now this interview will be live" he said and I got more nervous. I nodded and gave a weak smile. "Don't worry you'll be fine" he said trying to reassure me. I smiled again.

Patrick and his crew set up everything while I got Serena ready. "now everyone sit on the couch and we'll start"

We all sat and soon we were on live TV. "Good morning Australia, I'm Patrick Stanly and I am here in Townsville interviewing the most talked about affair that has happened this year" Patrick said into the camera. Patrick smiled to us then continued "here with me today to tell me about their side of the story is Gino Bianchi and Cordelia Bianchi"

"Good morning" Gino said and I smiled with a nod.

"Can you tell everyone why you destroyed Jacqueline and Gino's marriage?" I was outraged, I didn't destroy their marriage on purpose. I looked at Patrick with a glare.

"I didn't purposely destroy their marriage if that's what you are saying" I said angrily.

"Look Cordelia, Jackie told us that you purposely destroyed it so I have to ask these questions"

"Fine," I said through gritted teeth, Gino placed his hand on my thigh and I looked at him before talking "I met Gino while I was working at KFC, I turned him away three times and I gave him a fake number. But he still didn't give up"

"But you gave in anyway"

"Yes I did" I answered truthfully "he kissed me and I was putty in his hands, I didn't know who he was but when we got to his apartment I found out his name. We spent the whole weekend together. He never told me that he was married and when I went home I didn't check who he was"

"So Gino never said he was married but if he did would you've stayed with him?"

"No"

"But when you found out you kept sleeping with him"

"I did a few times but regretted it, I told him this was wrong and he said he was only with Jackie because of his company" I said looking down at my hands "when I found out I was pregnant I left the country"

The interview went on for a bout an hour and soon we were talking about my new pregnancy. At the end Patrick apologized for his questions but he had to ask them to get the truth. I told him its ok that I was over it now. We said goodbye to them all and I relaxed.

The next day Gino went to work and found out that everyone watched the interview. Jackie went on another news channel the following night and lied on that one too. The person interviewing her on that one made Jackie angry, the reporter asked Jackie why is her story so different from her last interview. Jackie's response was that she wasn't sure what she said last time but it made her other interview and this one a lie all along.

Gino came home on Friday looking so relaxed and I was too. Jackie made herself a huge target from her lies and now we're being left alone. Everything was great and soon we will have another baby.
