Tsukiko POV
"Where's Hotaru?" Sakura asked, sliding into her seat with warm oolong tea in her hands.
"Out." I frowned down at my own tea, "Where's Sasuke and Naruto?"
"Beside Kakashi sensei's room. They're both resting soundly." Tazuna's daughter appeared before us and she took a seat across from me. "I thank you for protecting my father. It means a great deal to me. I don't know what will happen if he were to be alone..." She sighed.
"No problem, it's our job. What's your name?" Sakura replied politely with a smile. She seemed to enjoy the warmth and safety of the house and was already making herself at home by eating whatever the daughter set on the table.
She looked up in weak surprise, "Oh, I haven't introduced myself have I?" She smiled kindly at us, "My name is Tsunami."
"I'm Sakura and this is Kiko. By the way, I have to speak to sensei soon, could you inform me when he's awake?" Sakura replied to Tsunami while I bit my lips, staring into the half filled tea cup that Tsunami has set in front.
"Of course, actually, I think he woke up a while ago, shall we go have a look?"
I stood up abruptly and thumped into the room which Kakashi was resting at. As soon as I opened up the door, I could see Kakashi drinking tea from a tea cup identical to my own back in the kitchen.
He stared at me for a while before taking another long sip once again, "Yo," He awkwardly waved at me in his futon.
"He okay? Sakura asked from behind me and I merely rolled my eyes at Kakashi before stepping aside from the doorway to let Tsunami and Sakura through.
Tazuna was sitting on the floor beside Kakashi's bed and Tsunami and Sakura took a seat on the opposite side leaving me to sit next to Tazuna.
"I'm fine, just can't move for about a week probably. The sharingan tire me out if I use it too much." Kakashi spoke to answer Sakura's inquiry.
Tazuna shifted in his seat, "We defeated the strong enemy at least!"
"And everyone is safe." Tsunami added, "By the way, Sakura, didn't you have anything to tell Kakashi?"
Everyone's eyes shifted over to Sakura as her eyes shone from remembering something important. She hit her own palm with her fist and looked up at Kakashi, "Oh yeah, who was the masked guy at the end?"
Kakashi laid his tea cup on the floor before getting comfortable in his seat. "Well, the mask which the kid had on is the one worn by hidden mist special hunter-nins, also known as body erasers. They basically dispose one's body leaving no trace behind. A body can reveal lots of information such as the village's ninjutsu, chakra, or medicine. That's why you have to careful or anyone can steal your jutsu such as my own sharingan."
So, what does the hunter-nins exactly do? Are they gathering information?" I asked in confusion.
Kakashi faced me and shook his head, "No, they make sure to keep the information that could be found, safe. So that nobody can find out about the secrets of the village."
Silence filled the room as each individuals imagined Zabuza being chopped into small pieces.
"Gross, and scary." Sakura shuddered.
Gross, yes. Scary? No. Life was what it was and if death was part of it, I couldn't think of it as being something gross. That's when I noticed Kakashi looking concerned.
"What is it?" I asked hesitantly.
"Something's wrong... Usually, hunter-nins take care of the bodies wherever the person was killed. And if the kid needed proof for his kill, he could've just taken the head. And plus, what did he use to kill Zabuza?"
"No way..."
Everyone looked at Sasuke and Naruto who was found at the doorway.
"No way..." Sasuke muttered once again before looking at Kakashi, "the damned kid used needles."
"What is it? What happened?" Naruto mumbled, looking sleep deprieved.
My eyes grew wider as I finally realized what was up and I spoke what everyone has just realized, "Zabuza isn't dead."
"Ehhh?" Sakura was taken aback as well as Tsunami, Naruto and Tazuna.
If you think about it, the neck ins't the most efficient place for killing someone, and if you aim right, you can hit a pressure point in the neck and keep from actually killing the person. Some points in the neck can cause temporary stalling of the heart which can make it seem as if the person was dead. The hunter nin hasn't killed Zabuza, instead, he had saved him from death.
I chewed my lips as Kakashi explained to the clueless ones. When he was done explaining, Everyone sat in silence.
"So, what do we do next?" Sakura spoke.
Kakashi's eye formed a small crescent moon as he spoke with a malicious tone, "We train."
