* Chloe's POV *

After the whole entire coffee shop situation, I have a lot of thinking to do.

Not long after Maddie left that day, did me and Josh get to talking.

We basically talked about everything but getting back together. It was still pretty awkward between even after Maddie confessed that all of it was a lie. Honestly I don't know if me and Josh are ever going to go back to how things used to be. I mean, I will definitely willing to try but I don't know if he is.

{3 Days Later}

I still haven't talked to Josh, and it is killing me inside.

A lot of people may think that now that we made up we can go back to how things used to be - wrong. I mean we can but there will still be so much awkward tension. I just need to ride this one out and see how it goes.

But on other terms, today is the first day I go back to school. I am so nervous that people might try to ask so many questions about why I gone for so long? or are you still dating Josh? I just need today to go really smoothly.

I turned to my phone to see that 7:00 is flashing on my screen.

"I am going to be so late," I scream before rushing to take a shower. School starts at 7:45 and I have no idea how I am going to be there when the school bell rings.

After taking my quick shower I pick out my outfit and get dressed.

Today I chose a pair of white shorts that are frayed at the bottom, with a navy blue tank top. I paired my outfit with some American Eagle sandals.

After I get dressed I immediately blow dry my hair and curl it at the ends. I then brush my teeth with 15 minutes left till I have to get to school.

I run down stairs and quickly wave goodbye to my mom and Clara before making my way outside.

"Yes," I say to myself while looking down at my phone. I have about 10 minutes to get to school.

When I was about to get into my car, a very familiar car pulls up to my driveway.

"Hey do you need a ride?" Josh says while rolling down his window.

I thought about for a moment and then thought, why not?

"Sure, why not?" I said while locking my car and taking the passenger seat in his. "Thanks Josh. You didn't have to do this you know," I say while putting on my seat belt.

"But I wanted to," he responded while backing out of the driveway.

"How did you know that I was going back to school today?" I asked questionably.

"Who do you think?" He retorted with a chuckle. It was so good to hear that laugh again.

"Let me guess, Paige?" I said while giving in a little chuckle.

"Ding Ding Ding. We have a winner," He says while clapping his hands.

"Hey keep both hands on the wheel," I say jokily.

"Okay mom," he says back laughing again.

The rest of the car was pretty silent except some little chats, here and there.

When we finally pull up to the school, Josh parks in his usual spot. The front row.

Like a gentlemen, he walks to my side first and opens the passenger door for me.

"Why thank you," I say while grabbing my bag and getting out the car.

"Your welcome," he responds.

Right when I get out of the car, immediately it was like the whole student population saw a ghost. They looked straight at me.

"Josh I don't think I can do this. Maybe I shouldn't have come today," I say getting anxious.

"Chloe look at me," Josh says while picking up my chin. "Everything is going to be okay, you hear me. It is all going to be fine," he assures me. Our lips are just inches apart now. It was like we were so close, but yet so far.

"Okay, I believe you," I say while looking into his eyes. Right now would be the perfect moment to kiss him to make all of our worries go away, but I just don't know if I should take the risk.

"Good," he says back getting closer to me now. I swear our lips were about to touch when someone pulls me from behind.

"What do you think you are doing?" Maddie and Kendall retort at me.

"Get your hands off of me," I say while trying to get out of their reach. Man, they are strong.

"Not a chance," Maddie says mean-fully.

"You two better get off of Chlo right now or that little nose of yours will not be so straight anymore," Paige says running up behind them getting Maddie and Kendall to let go.

"Paige," I say with tears in my eyes.

"Yeah Chloe," she said.

"Come here twinnie," I say pulling her into a hug. I literally haven't talked to her in ages and seeing that she still has my back makes me feel so much better. "I missed you so much," I said retracting from the hug.

"Me too," she said with tears in her eyes.

"Boo-who the twinnies were broken and now they are together again. Give me a break," Kendall said with her arms crossed.

"Oh shut up. No one likes you anyway," Paige says back.

Then out of no where the principle came over the intercom.

"Sorry for the interruption, but will Madison and Kendall please report to the principles office, immediately. Thank you," she said but then the intercom cut out.

"Looks like you two have to go now," I said while waving them good-bye.

I don't think I've felt this good in a long time.
