* Chloe's POV *

I am wandering around the house thinking, what am I supposed to do now.

For the past week and a half I haven't shown up to school, talked to anybody, gone on my phone, or left the house.

I have no idea what is going on at school or anything. It feels like I am isolated from the world and I can't do anything about it.

How am I supposed to face the school after everything that went on? How am I supposed to face Josh or even Gino?

Honestly I am even more scared about what is going on between Josh and Maddie, or what isn't happening between Josh and Maddie.

After all this time I couldn't take feeling disconnected from everything, so I finally decided to go on my phone.

I unplugged from the charger and turned it on. When the phone was finished rebooting itself, the screen lit up with text messages, Instagram and Twitter notifications, and missed calls.

But the one thing that stood out to me was a voice mail from Josh. I was so scared to listen to it because I was afraid what he had to say. This message could be a number of things, and I didn't want to open it.

I contemplated clicking on his name to listen to the message, but in my heart I knew I had to listen to it. Here's what it said, "Hey Chlo. I know that you may not want to listen to me, which I completely understand. I totally blew you out of the box and I shouldn't have done that and jumped to conclusions. Listen I really don't know what went on, and I still don't know. Please meet me at the coffee shop for a talk with Maddie. I really just want to sort everything out. Thanks hope to see you there." Then the message ended. He texted me the details the day before so I realized that that meant I had to go there today. I checked the clock and saw that I only had a half an hour to get ready.

I quickly took a shower and then got dressed in some high waisted shorts with a navy blue crop top. I then blow dried my hair and put it in a high pony tail. Next I curled the bottom of the hairs, in the pony tail, and hair sprayed it in place. I put on some light makeup and brushed my teeth.

Once I was ready, I looked at the time and saw I had 10 minutes to get to the coffee shop.

I ran down the stairs and put on a pair of flip flops, and waved goodbye quickly to my mom.

"Hey mom I'm going for coffee. Should be back soon!" I say while rushing out the front door with car keys in my right hand and wallet in the other.

"Okay Chlo. Have fun!" She calls from the kitchen.

"Yeah, I'll try," I say under my breath.

I reach my car and start the engine. I have exactly 7 minutes to make it on time, so I speed there making sure not to go over the speed limit.

Finally I reach the tiny coffee shop in town. I park my car and then nervously make my way into the shop. Man it smells so good, was all I could think.

After not being out if the house for days, the smell of coffee and pastries smells amazing.

Once inside I stand in line to order. There's not many people here so it doesn't take that long to order my iced coffee.
