Ding-dong, the door bell rings. I run down to answer it, and it's not who I expect to be standing at our door. "Hello." The girls says. "My name is Amy, Amy White. What's yours?" "Jane." I reply. "That's a very pretty name. But anyways, I came over because I just moved in across the street and was hopping to make a friend." Amy says. As I'm about to reply back, my mother walks in and says,"Jane would be delighted to be your friend Amy!" "Great! Well I'll see you tomorrow at school!" Amy said as she skipped away.
"Mom! Why did you do that?" I scream! "Well I thought it would be better if you had more then just one friend Jane." My mom replies. "Well I don't need you help!" I say as I run up stairs to my room.
"Mom drama?" Missy asks. "Tell me about it! She all ways chimes in at the wrong time!" I yell. "How about we finish this conversation in my bedroom okay?" "Alright." I reply. As we sit in Missy's bedroom I tell her what happen with mom downstairs. "Wow that's not the best situation to be in." "I know and I didn't even like get to know her and mom just pops in! It drives me nuts." I explain. "Well, maybe if you do our conversation outside she won't chime in." We both laugh. "Well thanks sis. You made me feel a little bit better." "Well I'm glad I made you feel a little bit better." Missy says as I exit the room.
I slowly walk to my room and shut the door. I plop down on bed and just think why? "Why?" I whisper. I just sit there any enjoy the silence and then remember why I even answer the door in the first place! I jump up and run out the door to Megan's house!
When I arrive I remembered that I was going to meet her at the dress shop! I run home and don't even as for my mom to give me a ride, I was going to ask Missy. I run up the stairs and knock on her door. As it opens I walk inside and ask her to take me to the shop. She agrees and we both get in her car and go.
When we arrive I just keep thinking your doing this for Megan. Missy parks the car so she can pick something out for herself. "Hey Jane! Missy nice to she you again!" Megan squeals. "Come on Jane I've pre-picked like 10 dresses for you to try on!" Megan shoves me into the dressing room and instructs me to start trying on the dresses! There were 5 different styles of dresses in the room in all sorts of colors. "Here goes nothing!" I whisper.
