A criminal, a clutz, and a psychopath. That's our group. I of course being the clutz.

Silver, me, the one that they all ways look at as if to say. "What in God's name is he doing here?"

In actuality, I'm just a really good actor. Nobody would even think that my past is deeper and darker than most. Speaking of the past, I should probably elaborate. This is supposed to be a story about my past, after all.

First lets get my present out of the way. I, Silver; Foraen, otherwise known as thief; and Jade, our ten-year old psychopath make up our lousy group. Jade's actually five hundred years old, but then again she's also actually a dragon.

Speaking of acting, Foraen, or thief, is really easy to fool. I mean, up until recently, she thought I did not know her actual name. When her name was brought up, I used it as an opportunity to strengthen my character. I fell back on my supposed stupidity and said "What? Her name is Thief...." or something really stupid like that.

In Foraen's defense, I can be stupid, strong headed, clutzy, and overall annoying. After all, I am a male. We men are bound to be hard to deal with. The only thing that is all fake, is me being unintelligent.

I digress.

I should really get on with the story, you are probably about to put this story down and find something more exiting like the Divide. Oh shoot, there I go again breaking the forth wall.

Before I start the story of my life, I want to get one more thing out of the way. I know, I know, "Get on with it already" I hear you say. Well to bad for you. I am clearing up one more thing.

I am not human.  Well, a better word would be Homo Sapien. I am not Homo Sapien. I am of the race known as Homo Erectus. You may have heard of our extinction in history class. Surprise! Turns out we are still here.

We are taller than an average "human".. and smarter. Not to boast or anything. Our species as a whole is smarter that is. To be fair, we did have a few million  year head start on all of you.

As soon as we realized the chances of another intelligent species, we went into hiding. From our secret villages we watched you evolve from hunter gatherers to empire builders. We never built our own empires, there was no reason to. We watched as you built great monuments for your kings, we watched as you warred amongst yourselves. We watched as you built up great civilizations, then let them fall. We watched as an empire dominated most of a whole continent. We watched in another place as you wandered the plains hunting bison. We watched as you sacrificed to your gods. We watched as you struggled though deadly diseases and religious war fair. We watched as you industrialized your word. We watched as you saw the destructive nature of nuclear energy. We watched as you reached the moon. We watched as you created a sharing system using electricity. We intermingled with you through it all, observing, noting, and recording. We watched as you colonized mars. We watched you struggle through destructive wars. We watched as you caused a mass extinction. We watched as you died, and your empires crumbled into the dust from which they had been built. We watched as you rose from the dust, reborn, given a rare second chance. And then we watched as you battled though it all again.
We watched as you did it all again. We watched as you were destroyed. Then we watched you battle through life again, with a rare third chance.  We watched as you once again gazed at the sky and wondered if man would ever go there. We watched as you did this with out realizing you had ruins on those very stars you were looking at. You forgot of your great ventures to the distant stars in great ships. Your word-colonizing ships. Maybe, maybe someday you will send them again, and find these great ships. Whether they are wrecks or thriving civilizations you will find out.

You wasted a lot of time. The continents changed. Your sun grew weaker. And now, you sit and wonder, you sit and repeat what has already been done. And so you find yourselves in a second medieval era. One where remnants of your civilization roam the earth. Monsters you call them.

We watched all of this and wrote everything down.
Of course my tribe did no such thing, we decided to stay in the mountains and live primitively.

Now that that is all out if the way, I welcome you to the first document of my life. The story of Silver.
