A new day for our protagonist arrived.

A new day in a new house and a new city.

Lumia Difonis wasn't quite prepared althought she had been waiting for this day in a long time.

Her only light of happiness was that some of her friends had moved to the same city as her so she wasn't as lonely as she would've expected. They had promised her that they would visit her whenever they could and that made her happy.

She had moved to an average looking apartment that had a cosy look to it which she adored straight off the bat. As she entered the it she noticed that most of her things were already there still inside its boxes. She inhaled deeply before placing her large travelling bag on the floor, inside her apartment.

It was empty for now but she could already picture where everything would go.

-Time to work Lumia. - She mumbled to herself and prepared herself to begin unpacking her things.

She was expecting her parents and her most trusted friend, Thomas, to arrive at any minute to help her up with the heviest of things. The kitchen was the only thing that was already set up so she thanked the gods for that little thing. At least she already had a fridge and didn't need to buy one, nor a stove. At least, of course, taking that the ones in the appartment are in good shape.

Lumia entered a room to her left that was supposedly her new room. It was so empty with only a closet that would serve as her wardrobe. Opening it she was greeted with a rather spacious that brought a smile to her face. So much space for her collection of all-stars. She headed back to the room where the boxes were and dragged the one that had the pieces needed to build her bed. Before she opened the box, she took out her phone and searched for a song for her to hear.

She finally chose the cover of "Overfly" from Sword Art Online made by Amanda Lee and began to work. As she worked she began to mumble the song before her voice rose to a normal tone, taking in the lyrics of the song as she built the large bed.

At some point into building she heard knocking on the wall of her future bedroom. She was making too much noise.

-Sorry neighbor! - She shouted and she could've sworn that she heard a light chuckle from the other side.

Shrugging that aside she continued with her work, now silently, ignoring her urge to sing along with the song. At some points she would hear the neighbor that knocked on the wall before letting out familiar shouts to her ears earning chuckles from her but she continued her work, finishing her bedroom in about two hours. Her desk was already set up but she had to wait for her computer to arrive. Thomas was the one responsible for it and should bring that as soon as possible for his own good.

She would have to leave some space for her drawing desk otherwise she wouldn't be able to contribute for her job at all. She would probably find some space in her living room. It was pretty wide.

She made a quick phone call in order to get the internet and electricity good to go. Electricity she had it quickly but the internet would only be available the following day.

Lumia believed she could live without it for a day.

Probably...

-Lumia! - It was Thomas that was shouting from outside of her apartment and knocking like a maniac on the wooden door.

She rushed towards it and opened it in order to land a punch on his chest.

-You know that I can hear you clearly. No need to scare off the neighborhood.

-They didn't get scared! - He waved his hand in the air, gesturing her to move aside in order for him to get in. - I was careful to warn them beforehand that a psycho was coming to shout at your door.

-Really?

-Yeah. - He pointed towards the place wall where her neighbor had knocked, warning her of loud noise. - The dude next door just laughed and said that it was alright for me to do a bit of noise.

-You amaze me sometimes. - She said as she rubbed her temples. - Where are my parents?

-They are downstairs. Your mum wanted to bring along a couple of things.

-Food?

-For the neighbors, yes.

-Why does she do this? - She sat down on the floor, releasing a heavy sigh. - She knows I'm socially awkward.

-Who says you're the one taking the food to the neighbors?

-I know that it will happen. She wants me to be more socially active and that is not something to expect from a manga artist. - She slapped her knees before getting up from the floor. - Maybe I can be free from that if you help me take the matress up here.

Her eyes were shinning with hope and, since Thomas didn't want to ruin her happiness by saying that it was to little use he just agreed with it. She jumped and cheered before she headed out of the apartment, pulling Thomas along with her. Just as she took a step outside of her new home, she spotted her parents heading towards her.

-Lumia dear! - Her mum spoke cheerfully, handing the large plate of sweets to her father before pulling Lumia into a tight hug. - Your new life is waiting for you but we are here to help you begin your life. - She smiled, taking hold of the plate of sweets and handing it to her. - You will be giving these to your new neighbors.

-But mum! - She sounded like a 5 year old child, complaining to her mother for a toy she didn't buy.

-No buts, my young lady.

-Mrs Difonis, - Thomas began to speak in a polite manner that caught Lumia by surprise - your daughter was about to help me out with her matress so, if you would be so kind to excuse her I would be very happy.

-Stop acting all gentleman on me. - Lumia's mother spoke, slapping his shoulder lightly. - I know very well how you are and no she will not be going to get the mattress. My husband will go with you. She is going to greet the neighbors.

-Damn it. - Lumia mumbled under her breath earning a chuckle from Thomas. - Not funny.

-Fine, fine. - With that he left with her father. - Good luck!

-Now, take this - Her mother handed her the plate before pushing her towards the door next to her apartment. - And please be social, Lumia. It's only good for you.

She rolled her eyes and knocked on the door. She waited patiently for... 5 seconds before turning to her mother.

-No one's home.

-You didn't wait long enough. Be patient. - With that her mother entered Lumia's apartment, leaving her alone in the hallway.

She waited a while longer before knocking a second time. Not long after someone answered the door.

A man that she knew very well.

A handsome man that was wearing his adorable glasses and a black shirt with a large M and a pink mustache on it.

Markiplier was her neighbor.
