A week had passed and nearly everyday Lumia would spend some time with Mark, just talking about anything and everything. Despite not making any other move, the kiss he gave her in the corner of her lips never left her mind, leaving her awake on various nights, lost in thought.

It was on that day, a week ago, that he had asked her to go out with him sometime but they had never established a date. Well... until yesterday.

He had knocked on her door at 7 in the morning, holding a bouquet of flowers in his hand which he clumsily handed to her asking if she would go out with her the following day which she accepted quickly.

"Today is the day" Lumia thought to herself as she got dressed in the outfit she had chosen which consisted on black skinny leg jeans, black all-stars, a white tank top and a black vest, along with a chain necklace with a couple of plates that belonged to her father when he was in the army and the metal, spiky ring her mother had bought her.

A knock on the door.

-Shit... Just a minute! - She shouted as she grabbed a hair band and rushed to the entrance door, opening it. Mark was standing there wearing dark jeans along with simple shoes and his lucky flanel. - Come in and wait just one minute Mark. I just need to take care of my hair.

-Sure. - He entered the apartment and sat down on the large leather couch, waiting patiently for Lumia.

-I'm ready. - She said, finally leaving her bedroom with her hair caught in a high ponytail, letting a few highlights fall down her chest.

-You look wonderful. - Mark smiled at her figure as he offered his arm for her to take.

-Look who's talking. - She smiled as she placed her hand on the crook of his arm and let herself be lead out of the apartment, locking the door behind her. - You look very handsome, Mark. Like you always do.

-Aren't you a boot licker?

-I'm being honest! - She laughed out loud, followed by him.

They reached Mark's car and, as the gentleman that he is, he opened the door for her.

-My lady.

*At the Restaurant*

They had already ordered they food and were waiting patiently for it. Mark took the oportunity to take in her figure once again, like he always did everytime they would be together. As every passing second he was falling for her ever further but never letting himself be engulfed in these feelings. He didn't want to scare her with a sudden burst out of emotions.

-Hey Mark... - She finally called, a troubled expression on her face.

-What is it Lumia?

-You were... in a relationship before, right? - "What a stupid question! Of course he was! He's an amazing guy that has the appearance of a god". He only nodded in response. - What happened for it to end? I mean... You can tell me if you feel comfortable about it... You don't have to.

-My mother didn't aprove of our relationship to the point that, one day... she kicked me out of the house. At the time I had a job so, with the money we had, we moved to our own house but... a problem came up. - He inhaled deeply as he moved his gaze down to the silverware and toyed with it. - My boss fired me which caused the income to stop and that made my girlfriend mad because we couldn't pay for the house anymore which made me stressed out, reaching the point where we broke up... - He ingaled once again before looking at her once again with a weak smile on his face. - But that's the past now. What about you? Thomas told me you've been through some hardship.

-It was two that were the most... - She searched her brain for the correct words to express how it had felt with those relationships. - Scarring.

-What happened?

-The first one was... Well... He was taken away from me. - She scratched the back of her head, somewhat uncomfortable for talking about it. She never enjoyed to talk about things that had bothered her of brought her to a deep level of depression. - He passed away on a car wreck.

-I'm sorry to hear that... - Mark quickly regretted asking about her previsou relationship but she continued to explain the situation she had been through.

-The second one was... A total and utter cunt. He... - Once again she was at a loss at words but she didn't continue because the waiter had finally brought them the food they had ordered. Only after he left she continued to tell him the story. - He used to beat me up because I would fail to do something minimal, for example, if the food was a bit too spicy he would beat me. Even if everything was right he would always find an excuse to hit me. When it wasn't that, he would force me to have sexual intercourse with him. He made me sick. - She spat out those last words.

-What did you do?

-One day, when I returned from work, I found him in bed with someone else. Out of anger I hit him hard across the face. - She smiled, a mix of displease and happiness. - He hit me back but the look on his face was priceless. He wasn't counting on that at all. - She chuckled lightly before tking a bite of her food. - After that I just rushed to Thomas' house and stayed there for a couple of days, until the bruise had healed completely so that I wouldn't scare my mother. Of course, being the kind of person that she was and my mother as well, she found out what happened and threatened him. - That made Mark chuckle lightly. Lumia smiled at him. - He was so scared he left the town. I don't know where he went and never want to know. As long as he stays away I'm happy.

-And you say you're not a big deal. - He smiled at her tenderly placing his hand on the one that was resting on top of the table. - You are a strong woman and I adore you for that.

-Oh Mark, you're too kind. - She smiled tenderly at him before that tenderness grew to pure joy. - Now let's eat because this is delicious!

The rest of the dinner went smoothly, occasionally talking about Youtube but besides that, they would share hobbies, comments, quotes and jokes. After they were done, Mark drove her home and escorted her to her apartment door.

-Goodnight my lady. - He said in a knightly tone, placing a kiss on the back of her hand.

-You're too kind, sir Mark. - She turned to open the door and came to a stop when she opened the door. - You... want to come in and have a game session?

-Yeah, sure! - He cheerfully spoke out, entering the home after her. Lumia headed towards the TV, connecting the DreamCast to it and setting the Street Fighter's disc. - Old school gaming? - He commented as he sat down on the large couch.

-Don't say old school! It makes me feel too old. - She laughed lightly as she sat down beside him, handing him the control. - Let's see if you can beat me in this game.

-Will try to. - He laughed out but returned to his serious face when the match started. To his joy he was able to defeat her... after 4 matches and declared that as a finish, raising his arms up in the air. - I did it!

-Once.

-Let me enjoy this! - He said doing a little victory dance. - All I need now is a reward. - He stated, scratching his half shadow beard, lost in thought.

-We can think of something, no? - She spoke innocently but she had a hint of lust on her voice.

After speaking those words, she rested her head on his shoulder and just stood there, inhaling his scent. It felt nice to rest her head against his strong built, being able to be so close to him. She couldn't help but let a light moan escape her throat.

-Lumia... - He called as he looked down his shoulder, looking at the top of her head. He wrapped his arm around her shoulders, pulling her closer to him. She looked up to face him and realized that the space between them was nearly nonexistent. He leaned forward, rubbing the tip of his nose against hers before placing a tender kiss on the corner of her lips. Before he could pull away from her, he felt her hand crawl to the back of his neck, pulling him into a shy and quick kiss.
