Chapter 12 Part 1.

Kamaya

"Be safe baby. And call me as soon as you land and after you get set up into your hotel room, I love you so much." I gave Dylan a long hug, getting teary eyed.

"I love you too baby, don't cry. I'll see you soon and we can FaceTime." He pulled away and wiped the tears that spilled from my eyes.

I wrapped my arms around his neck and I hugged him, again for what felt like an eternity. I finally let go of his neck and we exchanged a long, wet kiss.

"I love you." I said again.

He kissed my cheek and slapped my ass, "I love you too baby. Ill call you."

I watched him walk away. He turned around and blew me a kiss. I felt the tears trickle from my eyes as he faded away into the terminal.

"Aww now that's love." I heard this older white woman say.

I quickly wiped the tears from my eyes and smiled at her.

"That's my fiancé, he's going on a business trip and I'm really gonna miss him." I blinked back more tears.

"That's so sweet." She smiled at me.

I returned the gesture and walked out of the airport, back to my car. It was 7:36am and Infinity was asleep in her car seat. I unlocked the car doors and slid into the drivers seat.

I heard Infinity shift around in the in back. I looked in my rear view mirror and she was still sleeping. I let her say her goodbye to Dylan last night because I knew she would be sleep.

I started the engine and swiftly reversed out of my parking spot, driving back home.

I had just entered my bedroom, wrapped in a pink bath towel. Infinity was sitting on my bed, watching Cupcake Wars.

"Mommy your phone was ringing." She told me.

"That could've been your dad." I said to her.

I walked over to my side table and picked up my phone. It was 1:08pm and I saw I had 3 missed calls from Cyn. I called her back and waited for her to pick up.

"Hello." A woman's voice answered.

"Hey, Cynthia called?" I asked.

"Yeah, this is Kamaya right? Hold on." The girl said.

I heard the phone shuffle around for a few seconds.

"Heeeeey. You know I'm in yo city right?" Cyn said.

"Are you serious?" I replied, getting excited.

"Deadass, I was gonna surprise yall last night but I forgot your address." She responded.

"Bitchhhh! I missed yo lil ass, I was just thinkin' bout you yesterday. Dylan left this morning tho but Dj's birthday party is at 3. Come over, I'm talkin soooo much. Oh my God." I said at once.

I heard her laughing, "Give me yo address, I'm on my way."

"400 Martin Drive, apartment #3. How you forget? You used to live here." I said.

"Exactly! I'm on my way, see you soon girl." She said.

I hung up the phone and got so happy. I really didn't know how I would be able to put up with Rae during this entire ordeal but knowing that Cyn would be there too, really made me feel a lot better.

"Who was it mommy?" Infinity asked.

"Your cousin Cynthia. She's coming to Dj's party." I told her as I finished drying off.
