Clara stood in front of me crying.

"You! You took Marvel from me!" Clara screamed at me.

"No, I didn't!" I said innocently. I looked to my right and saw Marvel and Cato trying to kill each other. I looked to my left and saw Clove trying to kill Lavena. Then Clara was in front of me in her puddle of tears with Damien watching with wide eyes filled with fear. Everyone I wanted to protect, in danger. I ran over to Damien to pick him up, but he vanished as my hands tried to grasp him.

"Glimmer, help!" screamed Clara as she started to drown in her tears.

"Glimmer, help me kill this one!" yelled Clove as she held a knife to Lavena's neck.

"Glimmer, help me!" cried Lavena.

"Glimmer, don't trust him!" shouted Marvel as Cato plunged a sword through Marvel's leg.

"Glimmer, come help me get rid of this one! He's just trying to come between us!" yelled Cato.

Everyone around me started to yell my name, and I started to go insane. Marvel yelped out in pain as Cato sliced his other leg. Lavena cried as Clove's knife slowly buried into her neck.

I woke up with my hands clenched into fists and tears running down my face. I knew I would never be able to sleep peacefully again. Our interviews were today, and I would have to go through my prep team again, so I just changed my clothes and put my hair into a messy bun. I still hadn't recovered from my dream when I got to the table. I sat in my usual spot and started to serve myself.

"Glim, you're shaking," said Marvel.

"Bad dream," I whispered.

After a very quick and short breakfast, we were taken into our prep teams custody. Dacey, Adaira, and Kade worked on me all afternoon. They turned my nails and toenails into perfect ovals and painted them with pure white glitter that sparkled in the light. My skin was transformed into elegant glowing skin. My eyelashes were coated with thick mascara and my eyelids with light pink eyeshadow. My hair was perfectly curled and fell in spirals down my back, and I also had a couple extensions to make my hair look longer and to cover up my stitches. I was flawless and beautiful.

"Thank you," I said to everyone, "It really is beautiful."

"Oh, dear you're very welcome," said Dacey.

"You're one of our favorite tributes," said Adaira.

"We're gonna hate to see you go," said Kade. Dacey glared at him and then he added, "I mean, go into the games. Not go like die or anything." Felicity walked in with a huge grin on her face.

"Hun, you're dazzling!" exclaimed Felicity. "Close your eyes." She slipped the dress over me and adjusted it a little before telling me to open my eyes. I looked in the mirror and saw a whole new different person. Stunning eyes, radiant nails, and a knee length dress that was the most light and resplendent shade of pink I've ever seen. It glowed and shimmered whenever in contact with a light. It looked so divine that I was speechless.

"Say something!" said Felicity.

"It's... perfect," I said. "Thank you."

"You're most certainly welcome. Now, Cordelia literally begged me to have you practice your posture, smile, and walking in high heels, since the high heels do complete the outfit," said Felicity.

She slipped the pink high heels on and luckily these were only 3 inches. I kept tripping over my own feet at first, but soon, I started to get the hang of it. My smiling didn't need any work. As soon as I smiled my flashy white teeth, my whole prep team sighed with admiration. My posture also needed very little adjusting.

"Well, I think you're about as perfect as anyone could be," said Felicity. "Now go nail that interview."

I met up with Marvel in the elevator, and he was in a dark blue suit. We gathered up with the rest of the tributes, and were lined up to take the stage. I was a little nervous since I would be the first to have my interview.

Caesar Flickerman bounced on the stage with his scary midnight blue suit and hair. He told a couple jokes to warm up the audience, and then I was called up to the stage. I carefully walked up, so I didn't trip over my high heels, and I flashed my winning smile. The audience's reaction told me they already adored me. I took my seat next to Caesar and prepared myself for the questions to come.

"Glimmer! Must I say that dress is exquisite!" said Caesar.

"Thank you! And I love your hair! I wish I could have my hair match my outfits all the time," I said. Caesar and the audience laughed.

"Why, thank you. So Glimmer, I heard that you and Marvel are a couple now?" he asked. I froze. Clara was watching this at home, and she had to hear that. I looked over at Cato, and he was glaring at Marvel who had a smile forming on his lips.

"No, no. Just good friends," I said.

"Whatever you say," he said with a wink. "Well, this year has definitely been an interesting year. Is there anything you would like to say about the other tributes?"

"I think all of the other tributes are amazing. I am really going to have some tough competition, and I have already grown too close to the others. I don't know what I'd do to see them go," I said.

"Do you think you will win?" he asked.

"I think it's possible, and I would love to see it happen. I mean it's an honor to represent my district, but I would hate to come home knowing that I didn't save any of my friends," I said.

"Well, we all hate it, but unfortunately that's how the games work. Is there anything you would like to say to your family back home?" he questioned.

"I would like to say that I will try really hard to win. I will, but no matter what happens just remember that I love you all," I said.

"That's very sweet of you. It looks like we're out of time! Best of luck to you Glimmer, tribute from District 1," he said. The crowd continued clapping and screaming my name when I walked off the stage. I seated myself and noticed Lavena, the 13-year-old girl from District 4, staring at me. She was in a light purple dress that had blue and silver gems on it. I had never even spoke to her before, but I felt like protecting her in every way I could. I smiled at her, and she smiled back.

Marvel went out and definitely got the audience pumped up. His interview went well and so did Clove's and Cato's. I didn't pay much attention to District Three, but when Lavena went up, I payed close attention. I learned that she was a little quiet, but also very sweet. She loved to run and wasn't very bad with throwing a knife either. I also learned that she had a brother that had been killed in the Hunger Games a while back. No wonder she always looked so frightened. She probably hates anything and everything about the Capitol.

The rest of the interviews went by in a blur, except the last one left a surprise. Peeta's. He admitted to the everyone in Panem that he was in love with Katniss. Wow, what a shocker that was. Not.

We went straight up to dinner after the interviews. I literally stuffed myself knowing that it could be my last full dinner. I froze thinking about it. Tomorrow was the games. I completely forgot! I started to panic, but I calmed down after a little while. Cordelia congratulated us on our interviews and wished us luck for tomorrow. Without another word, she left, and I knew that that would be the last time I would see her since they have to go to the Games Headquarters after dinner to hopefully start signing up for sponsors and working out strategies. I gave Cashmere and Gloss both a hug and thanked them for all of their help. They didn't have much to say.

"Do you have any more advice?" I asked.

"Well, not really. Just stay with the careers and survive as long as you can," said Cashmere. Soon, they were leaving, and I was left alone in my room. I took a shower and scrubbed all the remaining make up off. After that, I slipped into bed, but realized I wouldn't be sleeping. Tomorrow was the Games.
