On the evening of the party, Tikay got ready and didn't hear a word from Johnson. He sat there quietly and just scolded her in the mirror. His eyes were still dark but hair was turning silver gray again. When she got to the hotel, there were drugs and alcohol and it was evident that no one had any type of common sense. "I think I should go".
"I think you should stay." Johnson was nowhere to be seen but she could hear his voice. "Come on it looks like fun."
With that Tikay grabbed a drink soon getting into the vibe of things. She had a couple of strong drinks at Johnson's request and smoke at least two blunts. She was so under the influence, she spoke to Johnson in front of everybody. They all thought she was joking about him and made him up on the spot. Then she started to get upset and began to curse them out for thinking she was a crazy loser.
A couple hours - and a bad case of the munchies – later, Tikay was barely sobering up and went to get some fresh air. She was out on the balcony when Johnson finally appeared. He began to talk about Houston and Tikay's old friends and how depressed she was when she got to Chicago. He started to talk about her parents and how mean they were to her - which wasn't true AT ALL. He fed her lies about her friends and family and how much they hated her. Tikay agreed with everything he said. When Johnson was satisfied with Tikay's state of mind, he told her that the only person that could make her happy forever was him. That he was the greatest best friend that anyone could ask for. They could be real best friends for eternity and no one could ever take her away from him and they could be inseparable like when she was a kid. All she had to was take off her shoes and step onto the railing.
Tikay did exactly what she was told – her being still drunk and all. Johnson was happy that this was going perfectly. His hands began to tingle with anticipation. As Tikay spread her arms wide, as if she were flying or Rose from Titanic, Johnson slowly pulled his arms back and before he could bring his arms forcefully forward that Misha girl came running out and grabbed Tikay back and pulled her to the ground causing Tikay to scream, sobering her up very quickly. Tikay turned around and just gripped onto her and sobbed uncontrollably. When she was calm and fully sober, Misha asked her what she was doing on the railing, but Tikay couldn't look her in the eyes or tell her the truth. After an awkward pause, Misha decided to bring Tikay back to her house and they had a sleepover – that being Misha's idea so she could make sure Tikay didn't get into anymore trouble. They soon got to know each other and became friends. Johnson hasn't showed up since...
but he was watching.
