'How strong is this Disciple Jiang?!' Everyone wondered, as Huo Xingchen picked himself up, dusted his robes, and slinked quietly to an empty table.

Meanwhile, Disciple Jiang faced the Yueyan party again.

"Tell me... Which of you Yueyan juniors beat up Zhang Cheng?" He asked, and silence descended.

He raised a brow. "It can't be you..." He scorned at Li San, who was perfectly fine with staring at the empty table. "Who was it?" He eyed Weiyan.

"A face to indeed start wars." His eyes flew to her ponytail. "And the Xu Clan hair accessory... You must be Xu Weiyan, the fiancee who abandoned Xiaocheng (Zhang Cheng). The so-called 'White Swallow' who slayed the Black Dragon."

Whispers and mutters rose into the air as everyone realized Weiyan's identity, and their gazes were now filled with skepticism, admiration, respect, or envy.

"Was it you, then?" Disciple Jiang narrowed his eyes at her.

Weiyan was already in no mood, and her irises barely shifted in his direction. "The one who defeated Zhang Cheng is not here. But do tell us what foods you were fed to make you like this... We must avoid such dishes in the future."

Silent snickers filled the space and Disciple Jiang scowled.

"You-!" He snarled. "It doesn't matter if it wasn't you who defeated him! Weren't you ultimately his downfall?! A young prominent heir took you, a nameless, traceless entity, under his wing, but you abandoned him for some side trash!

Outraged gasps burst forth from the Yueyan party and Weiyan scowled, but Disciple Jiang merely scoffed.

"Hmph! Indicate one thing I've said that is false! *White-eyed wolf! An orphaned dog biting the hand which fed --!"

(*Ungrateful person).

A thunderous aura swept through the room suddenly, and the restaurant trembled violently.

Everyone was startled into action, pulling out weapons or talismans, and those upstairs began leaping down just in case the building decided it was done with the business of remaining upright.

Weiyan frowned, butdidn't move at all, and she met Disciple Jiang's eyes.

"Heh! I advise you to discontinue your pointless rant. It hurts the ears, and most of all, it might cause you harm."

Disciple Jiang glared at her for a brief moment, and it was evident he might have harmed her if they were alone.

But he thought better of it.

There was indeed a 'No fight rule' in Yu Shui City, and for the duration of the tournament, any competing defaulter would be disqualified.

He growled lowly. "I'll destroy you in the Arena!" He promised with an ugly glare at Weiyan.

Then he rose up and left, the remaining Huofeng members following him.

"What does he mean?" Xu Min wondered aloud. "Seniors won't be competing with Juniors, will they...?"

The next day dawned with a light rain, but the showers began right on the hour, and ended in exactly twenty minutes.

Weiyan stared out the inn room window.

'Even the weather is precise!' She thought, noting the odd timing of the rain.

But she pushed it from her mind...

Unlike the previous day, she was in high spirits and actually looked forward to the tournament which was set to begin in a few hours.
