Chapter 4~

(A/N Wolfy here! Hello! So finally got around to writing dis. Yay.)

For a few moments, neither of the cats spoke to the other, walking silently, before either even made an attempt to speak to the other. Hawklegs eventually turned her head and, through a mouthful of prey, asked;

"So, what's your name, then?" The she-cat jerked her head up, startled by the question, and paused for a moment before responding.

"How do I know I can trust you?" She asked, narrowing her eyes warily. "How can I know that you won't use it against me?"

Hawklegs snorted back a laugh before continuing onwards through the grass. "How would I use your name against you? Honestly, you are acting really paranoid. Why would I bring you into our camp before attacking you? That would just be a mess." Hawklegs finished, sounding much more courageous than she felt.

"Still, I would feel better if I didn't tell you right now." The she-cat concluded, just as the pair reached the edge of camp. Oaksprout and Petalrain, who had been exiting the camp just as they had arrived, stared wonder at the pair of cats before Petalrain let out a sigh.

"Found another cat, huh Hawklegs?" She joked, simi-seriously, while Oaksprout just looked mostly intrigued by the new she-cat.

"Yeah, looks like. Hey, could you go find Snakestar for me?" Hawklegs asked, dropping the prey temporarily to make it easier to communicate. Oaksprout gave a half-hearted smile before darting back through the camp entrance, Petalrain staying behind to keep Hawklegs company.

It only took a few moments for curious cats to start investigating outside the camp- the she-cat smelled much different that any of Stoneclan's cats, and Oaksprout wasn't the best at stealth, or at keeping secrets. Before long Hiddenpounce and Snakestar appeared, pushing their way to the front of the crowd that had formed. Hawklegs and the she-cat both looked up at the two powerful cats awkwardly, Hawklegs in a yeah-I-know-it-happened-again-please-don't-be-annoyed way and the she-cat in a more of a fearing-for-the-safetey-of-my-pelt kind of way.

Hiddenpounce simply raised his eyebrows at the two cats, asking what happened using only his eyes, Hawklegs only responding by shrugging, and the she-cat responding by glancing away in a guiltful manner. Snakestar merely sighed before turning back around and gesturing with her tail that they should follow. Hawklegs quickly picked up her prey before following behind, keeping her head low as she followed her leader, the she-cat barely hesitating before following Hawklegs.

Snakestar lead them towards her den, the large group of curious cats following behind. It wasn't until she was nearly inside that she turned to the crowd and said;

"Do you all really have nothing better to do than follow me around?" The meaning behind her words was clear- they weren't going to be told anything by simply following behind. The crowd quickly dispersed, everyone quickly getting back to work.

"You three, my den." Snakestar finished, gesturing to Hawklegs, Hiddenpounce, and the unnamed she-cat with her tail before returning to her den. All three quickly followed her inside,.

Jadecloud looks at the three other cats nervously. She didn't mean for THIS to happen. She looked at the other she-cat who also seemed a bit nervous.

"I'm Jadecloud..." she said quietly and looked down, shifting her paws slightly. One of the cats narrowed his eyes.

"You're a clan cat." He said frowning a bit. Jadecloud sighed and nodded slightly.

"Well she's obviously a clan cat. She reeks of Moonclan." Hawklegs said muffled by the prey a bit. The cat who had been talking to Jadecloud glares at Hawklegs.

"Behave yourself Hawklegs. You brought Jadecloud here so you have to be patient and suck it up." Snakestar said to her smiling a little bit. Jadecloud looks at Snakestar. She liked her, not the other cat. He's probably the deputy or something else.

"So you come from Moonclan yes? s Hawklegs said, in a way." Snakestar asks Jadecloud softer than the tom. Jadecloud nodded and looks back down.

"Please don't hurt my clan! This was my decision they didn't know about this." She said not looking at the cats whose territory she had trespassed on. "Please.... I can't have my clan being disappointed in me! Especially Lightriver..." Jadecloud whispers that last part thinking about her mother. Snakestar looks at Hiddenpounce.

"You know this can't be hidden from your clan Jadecloud." Snakestar sighed "But maybe we don't have to tell them everything.... About you coming into our camp.." she says and smiles at the young warrior. Jadecloud perked up a bit brighter but Hiddenpounce frowned.

"Snakestar! You know I respect you but Moonclan must know everything! Like why she came here! Which is... what again?" He looked back at the grey furred warrior. Jadecloud flinched and awkwardly shifted.

"You're talking like Jadecloud's actually told us what she's doing." Hawklegs rolled her eyes and smiled slightly. Jadecloud looks at her a bit grateful for a distraction,taking the toms attention away from her to the other she-cat.

"Hawklegs, we've told you to behave already." Hiddenpounce's ears flattened against his head. Hawklegs shrugged and looked at the nervous she-cat. She obviously didn't want to talk about why she was here. So why force her?

"Actually that was just Snakestar. You're just yelling at everyone." She says to him setting the prey she had caught earlier down by her feet. Snakestar watched and looked like she was trying not to laugh at the scene. It was kinda funny... But Jadecloud was still pretty nervous. She just wanted to see her dad! Hiddenpounce started lecturing Hawklegs on proper manner when with clan members of higher positions when Hawklegs looked over at Jadecloud. The look she gave her looked like she was telling Jadecloud to hurry out before Hiddenpounce turned his attention back to her. Jadecloud nods and gave her a grateful look.

Jadecloud hurried out the Leader's den, Snakestar watched her go and sighed quietly. She watched her deputy bicker on about something. She didn't know anymore.

Jadecloud looked around camp. She was frantically trying to get out, she obviously wasn't paying attention and bumped into a warrior. She fell down and hastily stood up, she looks at the warrior she bumped into. He looked familiar.... Odd...

"Watch where you're going... Wait who the Starclan are you?" the warrior asks suddenly looking serious. Jadecloud gulped and shifted slightly.

"Jadecloud of Moonclan..." she says quietly. The warrior looks at her strangely then looks a the leaders den. He nodded in sudden realization.

"I see, you're the one Hawklegs brought it. Well, I'm Stemfall, of Stoneclan." he smiled slightly. Jadecloud's eyes widened and she stared at the warrior. She knew why he looked so familiar now!

"Dad?" she whispers in shock.
