He felt a warm small hand on his shoulder; Jacob turned around and saw Alice standing there shocked. She was indeed dress up for their dates, wearing a blue dress. They meet each other gazed, Tears fell down his cheek, Alice now know the real him, the real him that had to survive weeks in this hellhole that he call his own home. Alice slowly lower the gun, as Jacob still looked at her. "Is okay Jacob I'm here?" She whispered. Jacob dropped the gun, they hugged, he held her tightly not wanting to end the hug, and he hasn't hugged someone like that since his mother had left.

They heard feet movement and Jacob and Alice looked up and saw Jacob dad pointing the gun at both of them, Jacob move in front of Alice, who was holding one of his hand, scared fill her eyes, Jacob dad was smiling, but it wasn't one of those smile when their son bring good grade, it was a sickly smile. He took a big step forward toward them.

"What you going to do now? Eh boy?" he growl stepping closer to the two teenager. Alice grip Jacob hand tighter.

"Look if you're going to shot someone shoots me! Leave Alice out of this"

Jacob dads laugh again, "So she could snitch to the police, and land me to jail. The best idea is to take care of both of you." He said promptly.

As he took another step closer, the two teens step back.

"So who want to die first?" he said nastily to the two feared teens. Jacob closed his eyes and stepped forward. He didn't get a chance to see his father malice smile. Jacob waited for the trigger to be click, his arms immediately started to sting, he fell to his knee, and he fell to the floor head first.

Jacob slowly opened his eyes, but soon regret it as the light hit his face, he shield his face with his hands, and slowly try to sit up, but the pain he had just gotten on his left shoulder cause him to lay back on his bed. He looked around the white room, trying to figure out where he was. It took him ages to finally figure out that he was in the hospital, he heard footsteps from outside the room, and the door soon opened and next thing he know Emily wrapped her arms around his neck.

"I'm so glad you're okay!" she breathed in his neck. Jacob hugged her back. She let go off him." The doctor said you're fine! And that you can go home in a bit." Jacob immediately thought of his dad; what happen to him? Is he at the house drinking a beer, not caring that his son is in the hospital? Before Jacob could have opened his mouth to speak, Mr. and Mrs. Goldsworthy stepped forward.

"You're dad is in jail now. You will be living with us, Jacob." Mrs. Goldsworthy said. Tears filled her eyes, and Mr. Goldsworthy wrapped an arm around his wife waist. Jacob nodded. "Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Goldsworthy." He said faintly, tears swelled his eyes.

"We're going to sign you out."

"Wait Mr. and Mrs. Goldsworthy, What happen to Alice?" He blurted before the two adult could turn walked out of the door.

"Don't worry son, she fine. The police were able to get there before your dad could have hurt her." Mr. Goldsworthy said calmly. Jacob nodded and took a deep breath, he was glad that Alice was safe and wasn't hurt. Mr. and Mrs. Goldsworthy left the room, leaving Jacob and Emily alone, neither of them spoke. Emily sat at the edge of Jacob bed and looked at her shaken hands. "Why didn't you told me your dad abuse you, I could had helped." She said, still looking at her hands.

"I'm sorry, okay I was scared of what he would do if he would had find out and that Nob-"

"Would believe you?" Emily finished the sentence. "Jacob look at me! I would have believed you, everyone would believe you, it's not a joke when someone informed someone that they are abuse."

Before Jacob could had opened his mouth the door swung open, expecting to be Emily's parent telling them that they had finished signing the release form, instead it was Landon walking toward Jacob bed holding a get well balloon. "Jacob glad to hear you're okay! Brought you a bal-"he stopped when he saw Emily sitting on his bed. "Emily. Hi! Hope I wasn't interrupting something."

Emily ignores Landon and turned her attention back to Jacob. "Do you understand what I am saying Jacob?" Jacob nodded. "Yes Ma'am."

They heard a faint knock, and the door opened once again, this time it was Emily parents. They informed the teens that it was about to leave. But the doctor had given Jacob shoulder support to keep his shoulder steady. Emily groaned softly after hearing her dad offer Landon a ride back home.
