Erwin - Explore

"Let's explore." Was one of the last things you said before you yanked Erwin out of his office and down the hallway of the survey corps headquarters.

You were a squad leader and Erwin's best friend, when he was with you he let his guard down and acted like himself. As you and Erwin walked down the hallway you heard people coming down the other side of the corridor, you quickly pulled Erwin and yourself into a storage closet conveniently behind you two and silently hushed him.

As Levi, Petra, and Hanji walked past the closet discussing business you thought you had been completely silent and no one noticed you. But before you could leave the closet, Levi said "(Y/N) I know you aren't cleaning that closet so get out squad leader because you are acting like a cadet." and from there continued out the hallway, leaving you shocked and Erwin dying of laughter.

You two continued leaving the building on your "sneak out" to go exploring. You loved exploring, for gods sake you were a member of the survey corps who went exploring so of course you loved it, Erwin on the other hand loved you so always tagged along.

As you two exited the building to the court yard, the both of you saddled up to horses, you both brought food and water. When someone asked where you two are going you always answered with "hopefully not a titan's stomach," and would leave. As you two explored you came across a big rock. You tied up the horses and head towards Erwin bringing with you the snacks you packed. You tossed Erwin a roll of bread and plopped down next to him.
"So although were safe within the walls, exploring is still fun!" You said nudging him. Only because I get to spend time with you. Erwin thought to himself  as he watched you look up peacefully at the sky. "I love it here," you said looking up in awe at the tree. I love you. Erwin thought as he simply nodded to your statement. "Erwin," you said getting his attention. "Yes"

"I think I'm in love." You said nervously. A hundred butterflies swirled in his stomach, he hasn't felt like this since he was a young boy. What is this feeling? Embarrassment? Lust? What was it that made he face feel so hot. He avoided eye contact as you  continued.

"Erwin, I think I'm in love," you repeated again hoping he would get the hint.

"Alright, well what are you going to do about it" he said slowly looking up at you, "because I have something to tell you-" before he could finish his sentence you interrupted him, "I am contemplating telling him and I need a guys advice. I think he feels the same way." You said hoping Erwin would get you meant him. But Erwin thought you were coming to him asking for friendly advice from a friend and his heart sunk. He turned away.

"Do what you want. But this world is to cruel... Nothing will last." Erwin's words upset you. "So I shouldn't make the first move?"

"I don't know will he even live through our next exhibition!" Erwin sneers in jealousy. "I would hope so," you cry, as you noticed Erwin was simply jealous you calmed down and said "and this is me making the first move," you push him backwards onto the rock. You lock lips with him, luckily he doesn't push you off. "Hey, (Y/N) I love you." Erwin says in between kisses. You stop kissing him and sit up. "I-I love you too." You said nervously, you have never actually been in love before. Well that is until you met Erwin, you didn't stutter because you didn't care or love him it was just the whole thing was going to fast, the phrase "I love you" was just being thrown around, that might explain the way you felt but just minutes before he was your Bestfriend and now the man beside you is your possible lover who loves you and you love him, but as he said what if he doesn't survive the next exhibition? What if you don't? You sit there with a terrified look on your face, Erwin tries comforting you by rubbing your arm. "What's wrong." He soothingly repeats, he has known you long enough to know how to comfort you. Lost in your own thoughts tears silently run down your face. "I can't love you." You almost whisper.

"Excuse me?" Erwin says turning me towards him but I pull away, "Erwin, if we fall in love, if we ignore everything our brains tell us and just fall in love, then what will happen say I die next exhibition, huh? How would that be for you? Or even worse, if you died." The horrid thought triggers more tears your voice cracks and you drop to the floor crying. Erwin runs over to you and holds you, "it's too late for me," he whispers stroking your hair. "I have already let go and fallen in love with you, so if either you or me die in our next exhibition that would be terrible, cause loosing you would be devastating, but if I died, how could I ever even remember you. How dreadful anything would be without knowing you." He kisses you and wipes your tears.

" I don't know what will become of this relationship. But I hope it's amazing." He says as you finally wipe your eyes and smile up at him.

"You know what, I really do love you, I really, really do." You say as you give him a huge and warm hug.
