"I library, really (Y/N)?" Connie says holding the door as you walk out, with a new book in your hand.
"Some people actually find pleasure in reading," You say and give him a playful nudge. Connie has been your friend for as long as you can remember, but you guys were never that close until about a month and a half ago. You two have been inseparable since.
"You know your pretty cool (Y/N), Jean is a pretty lucky guy." He says using one hand to scratch the back of his neck.
"Oh, thanks but I broke up with him about a week before me and you started talking again. It was a mutual thing, but uh he still tells people we are dating." you say awkwardly.
"Good, because it makes what I'm about to do a lot easier." He turns towards me and leans into to kiss and right as he is about to, the universe seems to say no, and thunder cracks pulling him away from me quickly. his cheeks turn a slight pink color from him wimping out. But you feel a little bit disappointed, you really thought that he was going to kiss you.

1 hour later of non-stop downpour and comebacks to crappy jokes and pick up lines. You and Connie are huddling under a awning. It seemed as though the attempt kiss never happened.
"Okay I'm tired and ready to go home what about you (y/n)?"
"Fine. But before we go our separate ways it is necessary that we do this." before he can say anything You leap up and kiss him softly on the lips. And as if the universe was saying yes the rain stops and the sun shines through. When you pull away Connie just smirks.
"Hmm. Maybe I should walk you home." Connie says wiggling his eyebrows. And you can't help but laugh.
