Today was normal, you and all your friends had graduated from the 104th trainees squad yesterday, you had gotten ranked 10th, you were proud of making it to the top, but you wanted to join the garrison regiment and protect the walls, you were walking with your crush Bertholt when two boys who you had never really talked to approached you.

"Hello Y/N," one said looking you up and down, the other one snickered, "so since we are graduating, I thought that the gift I could give you, was um, my dick." the annoying boy said making his other friend start dying of laughter.
"Since we are graduating and still quite young the answer to that is no, and just a heads up you should pay attention in class more often because seems like you didn't learn anything especially not manners."Bertholt snorted at your comeback and the two boys looked irritated, you and Bert started to walk away when one of the guys grabbed you

"Ew, stop!" You smacked the boys hand away but he had a tight grip,
"Come on pretty girl give me a kiss,"
"In your dreams." you said and you turned to face Bertholt, he looked nervous but was to shy to even move. You knew Bertl had self-esteem issues and was super shy, but you thought he would at least help out a friend. The two cadets pushed past Bertholt and dragged you outside of the wall.

You heard Bertholt mumble something about staying on track because this was an important day. You were no longer hiding the fear that could be seen in your eyes, they had you pinned against the wall, they started to take off your cadet jacket, one kissed your neck.
"S-stop," you said trying to get out of their grasp. "Bertholt help me ple-" one of the guys covered your mouth, the tears where coming now. "He isn't coming for you. You really thought he cared he is just a stupid pussy and is to scared to do shit," one of the teens said while ripping at your clothing, you were struggling and it seemed like you were going to succeed because one seemed to be losing his grip on you.

"Stop," a deep voice said, you turned your head to see Bertholt. You let out a sigh of relief, Bertholt might not have gotten first out of the cadets but he is still an amazing solider. "Leave Y/N alone." he growled. The two seemed surprised by Bertholt's aggression. "I will NOT, let you hurt her." he said creating a fist with his hands. "Oh is that your plan or something tall boy," they said teasing him, he gave you a nod and you knew he was going to attack, like a cheetah he was so fast the boys didn't see it coming he had thrown them off of you, he was punching one of them and you were on top of the other. The stronger cadet pulled out a small switch blade and attempted to cut Bertholt's face but he threw his hand up in defense and left a mark straight on Bert's hand, instantly after that there was an incredibly blinding light and loud noise as burning smoke was everywhere, once it cleared you saw the horror before your eyes, the two boys had been crushed by a huge steaming hot foot, you looked up and saw a titan bigger than the walls staring straight over. You began to freak out, you were unsure where Bertholt was.

"Oh no, Oh god!" You screamed as you thought Bertholt was one crushed by what you now realized was the colossal titan. You started to run to safety, but tears and smoke blinded your vision. You couldn't see anything as you tried to find safety in the other side of the wall. You reached around looking for an entrance to safety. Remains of cannons and equipment from at the top of the wall were being knocked toward you, your whimpers were loud and clear. "No one has an advantage on flat land with Titans but now I also can't see," you whispered looking for the entrance. There was a loud noise behind you and the smoke started to evaporate. The titan was gone, it just disappeared how could such a massive creature just disappear? You felt a strong hand grab your waist and run with you in the persons arm. "Safety," you thought. You recognized the smell of the person but couldn't pin point it, you were just glad someone saved you. Once you two made your way within the wall, the person pulled you around a corner, he put you down. "I'm sorry you had to see that." the voice who you now realized was Bertholt said stroking your face. "No, no, I'm alright how are you! I thought you got crushed," you said letting a couple silent tears fall.

"I-I, Y/N, I'm uh, the co-" he looked hesitant. You looked up at him with loving and curious eyes, his face turned red and he looked away. "Forget what I was going to say I'm just glad that you are safe." He said pulling you into a big hug, you thought you even heard Bertholt cry into you during this long hug, but you were unsure.

(TIME SKIP TO ABOUT THE TIME THAT EVERYBODY FINDS OUT EREN IS A TITANSHIFTER)

After hearing that Eren Jaeger could turn into a titan an awful fear arose within you, maybe even some awful Titans walk among us, disguised as us, having everyone fooled. And with this sickening thought you remembered a memory with your now boyfriend Bertholt. "Oh no," you whispered realizing that your boyfriend, might just be the cause of so many deaths. Your breath hitches as he put his hand on your shoulder and bent down to kiss your cheek. "(Nickname)?" He asked giving you an eyebrow. "Follow me... Now." you said running past the crowd of shocked people and into a quite alley used to push carts to and fro the market.

"Bertholt," you said gripping your stomach you felt sick.
"Don't tell me your pregnant, I'm sorry if pressured you into doing it that one time, break up with me I'm sorry I'm so stupid." he says slapping his hand into his forehead. "Stop Bert, I'm not pregnant and you didn't pressure me into anything, I wanted my first time with you, but I have an important question." I said looking up at him,

"Anything." he said with a smile, your kind words put him in a better mood.
"Today we learned Eren is a titan-" you looked to watch Bertholt's smile slowly fade. He looked up to the sky. "Remember when you saved me from those boys, and at the same time the colossal titan struck, damaging humanity, wiping almost all of squad 34?" He started to whimper a little.

"Bert, I want to know something-" his breath hitched at the question he knew was coming and you watched as a single tear fell from his face to the floor, your stomach turned in knots.
"Are you the colossal titan?!" You said hoarsely and closed your eyes, Bertholt let out a wail and fell to his knees.
"You finally loved me, and I screwed it up." He said in between tears. You held him tightly as you too started to cry.

"Why" you whispered. Bertholt forced himself up. "I have no choice, but I will always protect you and put you first, I hate having to kill innocent people, but I will always love you now and forever." He said and in a fit of lust and sadness the tall boy pushed you against the wall and started kissing you passionately tears ran down his face and he just pulled you tight and whispered "Im so sorry"

Although you continued a relationship with Bertholt, a bit of you had fear of another attack he was forced to commit, and the effects it has on your boyfriend.
