Love is the most complicated and intricate part of humanity. It happens to almost everyone and it affects everyone. Love has shaped nations. Has built and torn down empires. Yet, even with this universal concept. Everyone experiences it differently as it manifests in so many strange ways.
The intense feelings that you felt being Akashi's lover made you feel human and you reflected on your life before him as dull and one dimensional. Like all over things about him, his love was intense and powerful. The layers of love were so layered and thick that surely you couldn't name them all.
The beauty in being Akashi's one and only was being so cherished that you had no idea what to do with yourself. Every day, he'd bestow gifts to you. Sparkling diamonds, rubies, pearls, emeralds, jades, amethysts, anything you could name, he had gifted you.
He treated you like a queen, making you feel loved, cared for and special. There was not a single luxury that you weren't afforded.
Akashi would kiss you tenderly, using his expertise to explore every part of your body, mind and soul until you felt as though his gaze was tattooed behind your eyes. He never let you go to bed without being in his loving embrace, cared for and protected.
Protection was another key part of it. If you weren't in Akashi's presence, you were tended to by his (strictly female) servants and kept in the mansion where he and the spies and bodyguards he had hired knew where you were thanks to the cameras in the walls and the tracking device injected into you the night of your marriage.
No, you hadn't ever been in danger or threat of discomfit since Akashi had claimed you as his. You never felt isolated either, as you often went to dinner parties on Akashi's arm, strictly informed of what you could and could not say and to whom you could talk to. Tonight, was one of those nights, you could show off your new sapphire ring to Moimoi, who would be at the dinner purely for your benefit. She was the only friend from Teiko you still had left, so you were looking forward to seeing her indeed.
Yet the mannerisms of Akashi regarding you were way more plentiful, deep and complex than simply showing romantic gestures and materialistic affections. As had been displayed time after time after time, not excluding tonight.
Especially tonight, in fact, when the other side of his love reared its absolute face.
Akashi walked you to the front door, through the wrought iron gates of the mansion, from the black doors of his limousine. Linking arms with you so you felt an uncomfortable tightness, Akashi's valet ringed the doorbell before disappearing into the night.
A broad shouldered, greying businessman opened the door and smiled, bowing to Akashi and then leaning forward to try and kiss you on the cheek before Akashi stood between the two of you, "If you'll excuse me," Akashi said, with a glare to the man which made him gulp and back away.
"My apologies, sir." The business man said, "Mrs. Akashi, the drawing room is to the left. Shall we get started then, Akashi?"
Akashi nodded, "We shall." He turned to you and kissed your cheek, making a point of lingering to make the business man wait, "I shall see you at dinner, love."You warily followed a maid to the drawing room where Moimoi sat on a recliner, sipping from a glass of golden champagne. Smiling softly, you sat down and when a waiter filled a glass with champagne for you, you had prepared a response, but when it was time to say it, it came out more as a hushed murmur, "No thank you, sir, I do not drink."
Moimoi grinned at you, "Who knew? A few years ago, that we'd end up here? Drinking bubbly wearing Tiffany's jewellery." She took a deep breath and relaxed herself into the seat, "So, tell me all about Akashi. Is he treating you well?"
You looked at her as though she had a second head, "Of course! He does nothing but do so. He makes me feel all sorts of emotions...in the bedroom and out....he loves me so much. He chooses what I wear, what I eat, what I say, what I-"
