KELLIN'S POV—

"Welcome, Doctor Bostwick, sit down please." The man in the long, white coat told me, eyeing at the chair opposite of his desk. The man's name was Doctor Hills. That's what his tag said, anyways. I assumed that he was the leading psychiatrist and physicist of this place. The one that I had read so much about.

"It's Quinn, actually." I corrected him sitting down.

"Your papers state otherwise, Doctor Bostwick." The man spoke up, reading thoroughly through my file.

That name made me cringe on the inside. "I'm aware, sir." I simply stated. "But I prefer to be called Quinn. I'm still busy with the paperwork on getting it officially changed. The other name simply bares too many... memories." And that's all I wanted to say on the matter. Though I was pretty sure that if he would actually read my file, he could figure out why.

"Why, Doctor... Quinn. Explain to me why." Doctor Hills suddenly demanded, looking at me over the top of his glasses.

"Sorry?" I was just a bit caught off guard there.

"Why Hills Asylum, Doctor Quinn? You are a UM graduate. Why not work at an asylum closer to you? Why move out here? Why work at an asylum at all?" He was throwing questions at me left and right. Questions I had already answered and fully explained during our talk on the phone.

He was trying to make me uncomfortable.

"I suppose I've always simply had an interest for the trouble minded." That was the only answer I gave him.

Doctor Hills dropped my file back onto his desk and looked at me. "I see." He said simply, shoving his glasses back up to the high bridge of his nose. "Am I correct when I say you do not have your degree in medicine, Doctor Quinn?"

"That is correct, sir." I confirmed. God I felt like a total idiot having to talk all official to this man. And it felt weird how he kept repeating my name in everything he said to me. As if without it, I wouldn't understand that he was talking to me. But then, we were the only ones in here, so it didn't make much sense to me. "Doctor Hills, I may not have my degree in medicine, but I do have the desire and the training. All I wish to do is expand my knowledge and cure the madness."

Doctor Hills shoved his chair back and got up, walking around his desk and up to the door of his office which we were sitting in. "Doctor Quinn, there is as much a cure to madness as there is a way to prevent death." He simply pointed out. "Now come with me, I will show you around."

Suddenly the man sounded a bit more cheery. But after the comment he had made, I was honestly starting to doubt his ways. No cure to madness? Then what did he do here?

I frowned and got up from the chair, following Doctor Hills down a corridor. We passed a guard who signaled for the first door to open and made our way through it. The floors were white and so were the walls. Every ten feet or so there was a blue door on either side, presumably patient rooms.

Doctor Hills opened one of the doors and greeted the patient, surprisingly being greeted kindly in return. "This, Doctor Quinn, is Oliver Sykes. He is the son of Ian Sykes, the owner of a very large Airline. I'm sure you've heard of it." He explained.

I simply nodded. "So why is he in here?" I then asked curiously.

Doctor Hills said goodbye to Oliver and shut the door, facing me again. "He is in here for his lack of interest in planes."

My eyes widened. "Are you serious? But that is insane!" I exclaimed.

"Well this is an insane asylum, Doctor Quinn." Hills simply pointed out.
