Chapter Two: The Fox

TAKA
I heard some rain patter against the window as I sat down on the large bed. I stared out the window, as I took my mask off, revealing my mouth. Pieces of fur covered the rim of my mouth, as if it were a beard. The orange fur slowly but barely perked outwards, making me look more like a distinct fox. "Taka, I'm going for a bath," I heard Koshka outside the door.
  "Okay." I called back.
I went closer to the window, completely silent. I sat down and crossed my legs. I started meditating to the soft sound of the rain, and the occasional roar of thunder.
Why is this girl being so nice to me? I thought. Is it because she knows I have affection towards her? Or because her friends aren't here? I don't know how I never heard of her. She looks like a Halcyon Fold fighter, how come I haven't seen her before? I continued to meditate, to the soft sound of the rain. I closed my eyes. and started to calm my mind.
KOSHKA
I wonder why Taka conceals his face. He's so handsome... I thought. The warm water seeped into my body as I let the warmth take over. I had stripped completely naked, and now I'm sitting in my large bath, cleaning myself. I continued to think about Taka. When will I be able to show my affection towards him? I don't know if he likes me back though... But he did talk to me at the bar. Maybe because his friend was asleep, I don't know. He did ditch his friend after all, so maybe I do have a chance. I thought. I slowly relaxed to the water, and my legs were put into a comfortable position. My eyes grew heavy, and my body felt tired. I fell asleep in the bath, drifting into a deep sleep.
ONE HOUR LATER...
I woke up slowly and tiredly. The tips of my fingers were especially wrinkly from all that time I spent in the water. I slowly rose out of the water, not used to the cold. I quickly wrapped my naked body in a towel, and drained the water. I slowly and coldly walked out of the bath, across the hallway and into my room. I let my hair stretch down, and dressed myself in a nightgown to sleep. "Taka?" I called.
  "Yes?" I heard him answer.
  "Do you need any sleep-clothing?"
  "No, I don't need anything."
  "Oh. In that case, would you come here for a second?"
  "Yeah," Taka walked into the doorway, and looked surprised. "Wow..." He mumbled.
I winked. "Does this look good on me?"
  "Oh, of course..." He seemed speechless.
  "Hm, you seemed surprised." I said, smiling.
  "Oh, uh, yeah haha..." He seemed to be blushing without that mask. I couldn't help but to blush as well. Taka must've seem that I was blushing with him and he looked away. I slowly walked towards in, pressing my hand against his chest. He gasped in surprised. "W-What are you doing?" He stuttered. I don't answer. I press his back against the wall. I slowly bring my lips towards his. He doesn't resist. Our lips touch. I hold his hands, and kiss him again. After a few seconds, I push my face away. "You're a good kisser, Taka," I say to him.
"You too." He says, now smiling a bit.
