Lost In Time

"Alright, that's it for today" said Steve as he wipes the sweat from his brow. "Wow, I'm beat" you said, trying to catch your breath.
"You did great today. I couldnt tell looking at you, but you pack a punch." said Steve. "Are you really that surprised?" You say with a smile. "Its getting late, we should head back home" said Steve. You nod and he leads the way to the locker rooms. You go your way and he goes his to the male shower room. After a while the both of you meet in the hall. As you made your way to the elevator, Steve pushed the button quickly. "You hungry?" He ask.
"No, I'm starving" you say as you step in. He chuckles. 

The elevator doors open and you both step off. "So, what do you want to eat?" Asked Steve. Before you could answer someone called to Steve. The both of you turned around. You were met with Natasha. "Director Fury needs to see you. I think we have a mission." Said Natasha. "Ok, I'll be there." Said Steve. She smiled at you then turned and walked away. He reached in his pocket and handed you his keys. "I'll be back as soon as I can." Said Steve. "Don't get killed, again." you say with a chuckle. "I won't, and don't stop training. Be here everyday to train. OK." Said Steve. You nod and enter the elevator. The ride was quite until it stopped on the the 32 floor. A man enters the elevator. It identified him as agent Brock Rumlow. He smiled at you, you smiled back. "Nice day, isn't it?" he say, trying to make small talk. "Mmhmm" you say. He continues to small talk with you. When the elevator reaches the lobby, he boldly ask you if you wanted to have a cup of coffee with him. You saw nothing wrong with the idea so you went with your new coworker. The both of you walked to a near by coffee shop. The both of you find a little table in the back. Once you settled in your seats you started to talk about work, and other things. He was a funny guy.

"So does it feel weird?" He asked. "Does what feel weird?" you say as you raised the cup to your mouth. "Being here, in this time. You know you're the talk of the town right?" Said Brock.
"Really? Me, the talk of the town. Ha!" You laughed.
"No really, everyone is talking about the beautiful girl that was defrosted." said Brock with a smile. "Is that so" you say smiling. "How about you let me take you out to dinner?" He said boldly. You smiled. "I'm sorry. I'm sure it would be fun, but I'm not really ready for that. I don't think I will be for a while." You say. "OK, I get it. You just need to settle into your new life." Said Brock. You shook your head. "No, its not that. My heart belongs to someone else." You say. "Who? The Captain?" He asked. "No. You don't know him. Well Brock, thanks for the coffee" You say as you stand up to go. "You're welcome" he says as he stands. "See you around the office" he says as you turn to go. You look back and smiled.

You contiuned your walk back to Steve's place. You didn't know it but you just unknowingly stolen Brock's heart. What he didn't know is that he had no chance with you. You were not ready to get over Bucky. He dead a long time ago but the pain was still as bad as it was back then. Only one person knew how you felt and that was Steve. He seemed to be taking not being able to be with Peggy rather well. You thought maybe he could give you some tips cause this pain was sickening.

When you reach the apartment building. You go up the stairs and reach his door. Steve's neighbor walks out of her apartment. She carried a laundry basket and was dressed in scrubs. "Hello" she says. "Hi" you replied and continue to open the door with Steve's keys. Once you got in, you took a shower. And you fell asleep.
The next day you skipped training. You decided to go the Smithsonian. Steve had told you about it. You decided to make a day of it. You were gonna act like a tourist today....
