This is it. I thought.
For once in my life, I will be a normal teenager, an ordinary person with no obligations and responsibilities. This was selfish I know. But for once, I wanted to be an ordinary person. This was a dream come true for me.
"We'll be landing soon, Sophie," my favorite cousin, Isabella told me.
I forgot to tell you. I run away from home. A palace if you should know. I'm the Princess of Adendar. A country that wasn't as big or popular like the UK. Which was an advantage for us since people in other countries didn't know who we were. Unless if they visited our country.
With me was my cousin, Isabella, but you should call her Lady Isabella since she was the daughter of a Duke. For Isabella, she actually didn't run away. She told her parents that she was coming with me. Helping us escape was my brother Prince Peter with a lot of convincing and crying.
I wondered what my parents were talking about right now. For sure, they already know that I left. A few miles from them, the King and Queen were talking seriously with Prince Peter.
"You helped them?" the Queen asked shockingly putting her cup of tea down.
"Yes," Peter replied. "Just let her go. She needs time to think."
"She's so irresponsible," the King stood up and walked towards the window looking worried. "We need a plan not to let the media know about this."
"If someone asks, tell them the Princess is sick. We need to inform all the people in the palace," the Queen said. The King and Peter nodded. "Did Sophie tell when she'll be back?"
"She didn't. But she did tell me that she'll be back safely and soon," Peter said.
The King and Queen exchanged worried looks. At that, Peter smiled and prayed for Sophie and Isabella's safety.
"Where are we staying by the way?" I asked Isabella.
"I already bought a house," she replied. "I found it in a listing online."
"That's quick," I said. We only planned these two days before and she already bought our house. Nice. "So, are we going to school?" Going to school was the most exciting part for me. I haven't gone to school with boys. I mean, I went to an all-girls school and having boys in school would be different. Exciting, maybe?
What am I thinking? I'm a Princess. And there was already a guy who my parents chose for me. And maybe someday for sure we would get married. That was the most painful thing for me. I wanted to marry someone that I love. Someone that I couldn't live without. Someone who would love me not because I'm royalty.
"Of course we are going to school. Education is really importance. Especially for us," she said. "But school term doesn't start until next week so we still have time to have fun."
Have fun. I love that. Finally I could go to the mall alone. I usually have bodyguards around me. I would like to eat ice cream, play in an arcade and watch a movie in the cinema. That would be fun with other people around. The funny thing was I searched what a normal teenager would be doing in a mall.
This was the most exciting thing I ever done. Maybe I'll meet someone. Someone who would steal my heart. Someone who would like me not because I'm a Princess but because I'm me. That would be wonderful.
But, I wasn't allowed to fall in love with an ordinary guy, right? But what if I fell in love? What should I do? Would I tell him that I'm a Princess? What would his reaction be?
