I got a text message one morning and it was from Luke. He said that he couldn't come to school because he was sick. So I called him and asked how he was. His voice is a bit rough maybe because of his cough. I decided to visit him after school.
At lunch, I was with Quinn and Isabella "Where's Josh?" I asked Isabella.
"He got something to do," Isabella said. "So, are you going to visit Luke? You told him you'll visit?"
"Yes. I called him this morning," I said. "But I'm really nervous."
"Why? Do you think Luke will do something to you?" Quinn joked.
"No. And I know he won't," I said laughing. "It's that, I will meet his parents for the first time. It makes me nervous."
"Oh yeah," Isabella said. "Maybe you should bring something. Like fruits."
I stood up and told them I'll just going to get some dessert. When I was in line, a guy spoke to me. "You are Sophie, right?" the guy asked.
I looked and saw the guy that was staring at me before. "Yes. Why?" I asked him.
Then Quinn was at my side and the guy left. "Who's that?" Quinn asked.
"I don't know," I said looking at the guy.
"A secret admirer?" Quinn grimaced.
"I'm sure he's not. But I saw that guy staring at me before," I said.
Quinn gasped. "Maybe a stalker?"
I laughed at her. But who really was that guy? He was acting really strange.
After school, Quinn and Isabella accompanied me to buy some fruits for Luke. Then they accompanied me to Luke's house. Isabella gave me a thumbs up. "You can do it." She said. Then they left afterwards.
I took a deep breath and rang the doorbell. A woman in his mid-40s opened the door. For sure this was Luke's mother. "Oh goodness," Mrs. Conrad said smiling at me. "You are Sophie, right?"
"Yes, ma'am," I said shyly. My heart was pounding really hard.
"Come in, come in," she said happily. "Luke is waiting for you. He's asking over and over if you are here already." She said leading me to the living room.
"Oh! I'm sorry. I'm unable to send him a message," I said. "Is Luke alright?"
"Yes. He's in his bedroom resting," she said. "Just sit there for a while. I'll give you something to drink."
"And also, here's a basket of fruits," I said giving her the basket.
"That's so nice of you. I'll slice this and bring this to Luke's room later," Luke's mom was so nice, just like him.
A little girl then came out of the kitchen and stared at me.
"Elle," Mrs. Conrad said from the kitchen doorway. "This is our guest, Sophie. Your brother's girlfriend." At that I blushed.
"Hello," Elle greeted softly. She's so adorable! "Mom, she looks like a Princess."
My eyes widened and just laughed. Mrs. Conrad laughed too. "I know she's pretty Elle. Why don't you tell your brother, Princess Sophie is here?"
"Sure," Elle said happily. She went upstairs and I heard a door been opened and closed.
"Elle was really adorable," I said.
Mrs. Conrad smiled and gave me a cup of tea. "Yes she is. And she's into fairy tales. That's why when she sees someone pretty she always thinks that she is a princess."
