After a few months of dating, Luke and I became an official couple. What about Kate? Every time I passed by her and her friends, they were all staring at me so hard that the hair at the back of my neck stood up. But I haven't heard anything from them.
"You look beautiful today," Luke said one morning.
"You always say that," I said.
"But you really do," he said. "I'll just grab some juice, okay?"
"Sure," I said. Luke and I decided to eat lunch together. Quinn was busy of something and Isabella and Josh were together too.
I noticed somebody staring at me from afar. A guy. The guy noticed that I was staring at him that he looked away. Odd. I looked at Luke and he was waiting for his turn in the counter.
I noticed some girls smiling and pointing at him. I couldn't blame them. Luke really was good looking. And he was one of the good looking guys here in this school. Then a girl approached Luke and gave him something. Luke came back holding a small cupcake and a juice. My mood was changed. Jealousy hit me.
"Here," he said giving me a juice.
"Thanks," I said coldly.
"What's that cold voice for?" he asked.
"Nothing," I said with the same tone.
Luke looked at the cupcake the girl gave him and smiled. "You are jealous," he said smiling at me.
"No, I'm not," I said. "Why would I be jealous? Because of a cupcake?" I said gripping my juice so hard.
Luke was laughing at me and he then hugged me. "Don't be jealous," he said kissing me in the forehead.
"I'm not jealous," I said stubbornly.
"Yes, you are," he said putting his hand on my waist. He lean close to me and whispered, "I'm yours."
"Just eat your cupcake," I said drinking my juice.
Luke was still smiling. "If I didn't accept this gift, what do you think the girl would feel? She even told me that she had a hard time baking this."
Those made me realize something. My mother said that no matter what the people gave us as a gift, we should accept it because we don't want our people to feel bad. How big or small the gift was we should accept it with our whole heart. I remember someone gave us a live chicken.
"Sorry," I said softly.
He kissed me softly in the cheeks. "That's alright. Let's eat this cupcake together."
"You kissed me two times already," I complained. "First in the forehead then in the cheeks."
"Are you complaining? Do you want me to kiss you in the lips?" he said smiling.
"No," I exclaimed.
"No?" he teased.
"Not here in school," I said softly.
He laughed at me. We ate the cupcake together and it was really good. That girl got talent. Before we leave the canteen I noticed the guy again looking at me. It was really weird.
"What are you looking at?" Luke asked me.
"Nothing," I said looking away from the guy. Who was that guy?
"Anyway, do you have any plans after school?" he asked.
"None," I said. "Why? Have any plans?"
