Hi, I'm Iris. I live in Hollywood California. It's awesome. I almost always sneak out to the Hollywood sign. It's awesome because you can watch the fireworks from Disney land. I was daydreaming as I worked at Starbucks. Suddenly my manger called for me. I walked to the office. She smiled at me.
"Your mom called and said she needed you to go home early. It's fine with me so just leave." She said. Me and her are like best friends so if something's up she lets me leave. I ran over to my car and called my mom, she answered on the second ring. "Hey honey, are you coming home yet?" She asked a little excitedly. I smiled at her excitement.
"Yeah. Just starting up the car. What's got you so happy?" I asked. "It's a surprise! Hurry home. You need to get ready!" She yells and hangs up. I laugh. Sometimes I'm more of an adult. I plug in my phone and One Direction blasts through the speakers. I mentally cussed out my best friend Alexandra, Alex for short. She always uses my pandora to listen to them. I don't even know why.
Half way through the Song Story Of My Life I got fed up and changed it to Pierce The Veil. I drove home while a mix of Pierce The Veil, Sleeping With Sirens, All Time Low, and Mayday Parade played. I pulled up to my drive way and ran to my front door. I ran in and yelled for my mom. I heard foot steps as I hung up my jacket. I turned around to see my dad and my mom not to far behind.
"Daddy!" I yelled and ran to him. "Princess!" He said as we hugged I started to cry. He's in the army and lately we haven't heard from him. To be honest I thought he was dead. But thankfully I was wrong. We finally let go and he wiped away some of my tears. "I've missed you." He said as we walked to my room. I sat quietly on my bed.
"I've missed you too. I thought you were freaking dead!" I scolded. "Don't ever do that again!" He laughed. "So how's work?" He asked as I got up to look for some clothes to change into. I finally settled on a 5SOS shirt and my dark blue skinny jeans. "Eh. It's Starbucks. Nothing really exciting happens there." He laughed as I pushed him out of my room. "I gotta change." I said and closed the door. I heard him walk away and I changed.
I checked snapchat and saw Bryan Stars story. "Hey guys so we are waiting to do a collab with a friend of ours right Johnnie?" He asked and Johnnie nodded then got cut off. "Well if snapchat would stop being rude... Just can't wait for him to get here. It's a secret till he gets here." He said. I laughed and walked out of my room.
"Where are we going?" I asked my mom who was putting on some ear rings. "Out for dinner and a movie." She said as my dad walked in dressed casually. We went to my moms car and we were off to dinner. Instead of socializing with my parents I just listened to the album Madness by Sleeping With Sirens. We arrived to this awesome place known as Apple Bees.
My mom looks so out of place. She's dressed really fancy to go to one of the like least fanciest restaurants around. Our waiter seated us and took our drink orders. I got a strawberry lemonade, the usual. And my parents both got coffee and a glass of water. I got a salad with lemon wedges and salt. After we finished eating we went to watch inside out. I cried at only the last part. It was cute, I liked it.
After that we got ice cream and went home. I got the same thing I always do. A double scoop chocolate chip cookie dough... Ugh so bomb. When we got home it was almost 10:45. "Well goodnight guys. I'm done for the day. Love you." I say kissing there cheeks. I change into pjs and crawl under the covers. Today's a good day.
Iris' dream
Me and Alex are chilling at the o2l house. Wait what? "Hey there. Who the fuck are you?" Kian asked as Jc appeared with a pan and a spoon to protect himself. I just smiled dumbly at him. "I'm Alex. This is my best friend Iris." Alex said smiling at Jc. She has this crazy obsession with him.
Then Kellin Quinn walked in the room. Alex and Jc were making out in the corner of the room. "What the fuck?" I laughed. Kian walked up behind me, and held me as I smiled. Then he started turning into a monster. I screamed and woke uo to darkness.
I looked at my clock. 5:47. I might as well just get ready now. Starbucks is only down the street from my house. I decide that I'll do something with the mess on my head. I take a shower and dress into my uniform. I do my eyeliner and mascara then I start to strengthen my hair. I finish everything and check the time. 6:37. I walk out of my room and see my dad sitting at the kitchen table. He made me jump.
I'm not used to him being home. "Morning." He said to me as I gave him a hug. "I'm going to work I'll be back later." I say and walk to the door. "Bye." He says as I close and lock the door. I walk to my car and start it up. I plug my phone in and King For A Day started playing. I laughed as I remembered my wack ass dream. I pull into the drive way and smile when the door was closed and people started lining up.
