My boss finally shows up and opens up shop. I laugh as I walk in. There are a lot of really grumpy people. When there wasn't a lot of people I texted my mom.
Iris: did they sell the neighbor's house yet?
Mom: yeah the sign says sold why?
Iris: nah just wondering
I was interrupted when the door opened and the most happiest boy walked in. He waited and decided what he was gonna get. To be honest he looks familiar. I just can't place why or how.
He came up to the register. "Hey can I get a venté hazelnut latte." He asked as I smiled. "Name?" I asked. "Damon." He said still happily I wrote his name on the cup and handed it to Jenna, the barista. I looked at the clock and it was my time to leave after I made a drink.
I debated on either hot or iced. I decided on iced. I made my drink and clocked out. I walked through the shop to my car but was stopped when I bumped into someone spiling my coffee on them.
"Oh shit. Sorry." I say. Not paying attention to whoever is probably pissed. I pick up the cup. And as I stand back up I see its Damon. I look into his beautiful blueish green eyes. "Its alright. I shouldn't have been standing there." he says calmly.
"No its my fault. I wasn't looking." I argue. He just laughs, "Dude, I said it's fine." He says grabbing his coffee. "I can clean it if you'd like." I stated. He shakes his head. "Don't worry about it." He laughs as he gets in his car.
My coffee is still on his shirt and on his pants. I go to my car and shake it off. I pull out of the driveway and head home. I can't help but notice Damon is following me. I drive to my house and I start to panic. What if I pushed him to far and now he's gonna murder me. I drive past my house and he turns in the neighbor's driveway.
I started backing up and laughed as he fumbled around his keys. I pulled into my drive way. I walked in my house and went to my room. I changed into a Sleeping With Sirens shirt and a pair of jeans.
"Mom!" I shouted out into the house. "What?" She shouted back. "I'm gonna go talk to the new neighbor!" I yelled. "Ok. Bye." She said with a laugh. I wander aimlessly outside in my yard. About ten minutes go by and I finally walk next door.
I walk up the pathway to the door. I look nervously at the big brown door in front of me. I finally work up some courage and knock on the door. Within a few seconds he opens the door.
"Hey. Nice shirt." He said then I noticed he was wearing the exact same one. I laugh. "Don't think I'm weird. I live next door." I say awkwardly. He laughs and lets me in. "Good. It thought you were planning on murder." We both laugh and I sit on the counter.
"Chairs are over rated." I say with a small giggle. "Aww you're giggle is adorable as heck." He complimented and I felt my cheeks turn red. "So what's your name?" He asks his eyes looking more green.
"Iris." I say happily. "That's so pretty. Almost as pretty as your face... Wait what... That doesn't make any sense. Sorry." He apologizes. I laugh.
"So you like bands, right? Name them." He told me. I had to think for a bit. "Oh god. There's so many. Lets start off with the most obvious." I said looking at my shirt. We both started laughing. "But yeah, there's Sleeping With Sirens, Pierce The Veil, Black Veil Brides, Mayday Parade, Paramore, A Day To Remember, Escape The Fate, 5SOS, Never Shout Never, All Time Low, Falling In Reverse, Bring Me The Horizon, Of Mice & Men, My Chemical Romance, Sounds Like Harmony, Say We Can Fly, Fall Out Boy, Secondhand Serenade, Saosin, Before There Eyes, Rise , Social Distortion, Seven Story Fall, Silverstein, Green Day, The Amity Affliction, and Blink-182. How did u forget those crazy old men." I laughed as Damon's mouth stood open in awe.
"Damn gurl. She's got style af." He said in reference to Never Shout Never. I smile at him. "So you know I work at Starbucks what do you do?" I asked and he smiled big.
"Im a YouTuber." He said then it clicked. "Oh.... Have you done a collab with Matthew Lush and Johnnie Guilbert?" He smiles and laughs. "Yeah. So I guess you kinda know me." I smile and nod. "You seem cool and chill." I say which causes him to blush lightly.
"Well. I umm. I have to edit a video. I guess I'll see you tomorrow." He says. I smile awkwardly and jump off the counter. "What makes you so sure?" I ask with a devilish grin. "I'm addicted to STARBIES!!! It's tots obvi." He said imitating a girls voice.
I laugh and walk towards the door. "Bye Damon." I say and walk out the door back over to my house. I walk to the living room and find my dad sitting on the couch. "Hi dad." I say as I plop down next to him. "Hey sweetie. Who's the new neighbor?" He asks, as I smile just thinking of his beautiful green eyes.
"Dee Fizzy." I say a little to happy. "Is that a rapper?" He asks confused. I laugh and shake my head. "No... No he's a YouTuber." I say smiling up at him. "YouTube... You mean the video watching app thingy? He makes videos on there?" He asks really confused.
"Yeah. Never mind dad. It's to confusing for you to handle." I say and walk over to the kitchen. I look in the cabinets and find some Mac 'n cheese. I boil water and make my dinner. I log onto Instagram and chill in my room.
'This is how you spend your Friday nights.' I laughed. I decided since he's my neighbor I should watch like all of his videos. I started at his very first video. I stood up all night watching them.
I only had a few more then I would have finished but it was already time for me to get ready for work. I drove to work and was a few minutes late. It doesn't really matter. Nobody was there anyways. It was a normal boring day till Damon showed up.
