"So, tell me about yourself, Luke," Ashton says.

They're sitting in a coffee shop on Main Street and Ashton is putting all of his charms to gain Luke's trust.

"I'm 26, and I can play guitar a little bit. What about you?"

"I'm 24, and I run a café," Ashton smiles.

He tugs on the sleeves of his sweater and picks up the warm cup of hot chocolate that he ordered before talking a sip.

Ashton and Luke have a long conversation in the coffee shop until Luke announces that he has to go to work. He gives Ashton his number and a kiss on the cheek before leaving the small shop.

After Luke, Ashton heads back to his café and opens it up for the day. His usual customers come in and out and finally the end of the day rolls around. Ashton can't wait to settle into his comfy recliner with a good book and a cup of chamomile tea.

Once, he closes the shop, he heads upstairs to his apartment. He feels his phone vibrate in his pocket and sees that Luke has sent him a message.

luke: i had a really nice time, today. we should do it again sometime. :-)

ash: we should. what do you say about friday at six? there's a new bar in town that i've been meaning to go to.

luke: sounds good

Ashton sets his phone down on the table next to his recliner and picks up "The Hound of the Baskervilles" and starts to read again.

Around midnight, he lays the book down and takes off his reading glasses before going to his bedroom and lying down.
