Ashton's day took a turn for the worse when he turned on the news and saw that there had been another murder. This one had not been clean and it was obvious to everyone that the Persephone killer hadn't done it. It was just too brutal.
After that, he couldn't take it anymore. He couldn't stand this killer. They were so sloppy and they didn't treat their victims with an ounce of respect. Ashton killed with mercy. He never wants people to feel pain.
That night he went into town and talked a lady who seemed to be about twenty years old into coming home with him.
He let the deadly syringe sink into the blonde's neck shortly after they arrived at his apartment.
Something about this kill was different. He felt a sort of finality about this and maybe it would be his last kill. Maybe he could stop what he loves to do. Maybe Luke could be the one to help control him.
As Ashton placed the crown of asphodels around the girl's head, he felt maybe he could end this.
