Oh hell no.
Games?
I didn't sign up for this.
All I wanted was to get my schedule, textbooks, take my picture and then leave.
We started playing this game and it wasn't that bad to be honest.
Me and Hiram just tried to blend in and tried not to stand out so we wouldn't be chosen for this game.
Unfortunately they ran out of volunteers to offer to go up and play so of course being the amazing friend Hiram is he says,
"Mikaila wants to do it."
"Fuck you." I mutter
I play the stupid game and win I guess but just as I was going back to sit at my spot, they told us we had a new game to play.
Because games are soo fun.
This one required actually moving.
Sigh.
On the bright side, there were some attractive people in my group and this game gave me an excuse to talk to them for a bit.
Bad news is that they were "buddies" which meant they were older than us.
Of course.
As we start to finish the game, a buddy announces,
"Okay it's time for the tour. Get your group and start."
The tour was pretty boring.
They just showed us around and told us where everything was.
I probably should've been paying attention, but this was just too boring.
We pass by the track outside.
"No. No. I'm not ready. I can't run that. Nope goodbye." Hiram says
"Yea same. I also don't want to do the swimming unit. I can't swim." I say
When we finish the tour we head to the auditorium.
We are greeted by overly happy cheerleaders yelling about how great high school is.
I give them a fake smile as I try to get to my seat.
The assembly starts with a routine they prepared.
Of course I wasn't really paying attention and was still texting the chat.
Hiram bumps my arm,
"Hey pay attention. They're talking about clubs."
Like I really care.
Ugh but I guess I should listen.
After all I should know the school I'm gonna be at for the next 4 years.
When the assembly was over, which surprisingly ended fast, I call my friends to see if we could hang out after school.
I told them to meet us at the front.
My friends come meet us slowly since it's still really crowded in there.
"We just have to wait for two more people and then we can go. Plus Arianna and Polina are meeting us there." I say
"Oh my god Raina is Eli coming with us? I mean he's your brother after all." Vania says
"Um don't you think it would be a bit awkward between him and you know who." Raina replies
"Why would it be awkward? I mean they are friends after all." I say jokingly
Eli always knew Arianna wasn't going to the same high school as us, so he should've seen the breakup coming.
Honestly we all saw it coming.
Polina also goes to a different high school than us.
Lucky them, they start later and don't have to deal with these people.
Finally, Taylor and Helin come walking toward us.
"Okay let's go." I say
While we walk to the place, Vania is talking to me about how she was sitting next to this guy and how he was beautiful or whatever.
"Bruh I'm serious. Also did you hear about that Calum guy everybody's talking about? I heard that he's hella attractive. His instagram was being passed around and everyone was following him but I wasn't sure if i should. Do you follow him? 'Cause you should." She asks eagerly
"No I haven't checked Instagram all day." I reply
When I open up the app I see that I have 1 new notification.
Vania is peering over my shoulder.
I see at the top of my notifs that:
