~Tom's POV~
It's been a while since the lockdown started and everyone has barely talked. We all sit quietly doing our own thing in the library kitchen when we hear footsteps outside. It definetly wasn't Miss Spencer because we would've heard the door unlock and besides, it was a lockdown, no one's aloud out.
When we first heard the carpet creak outside we all shot stares at each other and turned off all our phones and stayed as silent as we could. Alex held up a finger to his lips signaling to stay quiet but I just rolled my eyes at him. I mean, common sense right?
But then he slowly- and I mean slowly- tip toed to the door and locked it. I have to admit, that made quite a noise and after that the footsteps seemed to be coming closer. The more clear they sounded, the more nervous we became and the heavier we breathed. My heart felt like it was in my throat.
When the creeking of the carpet finally stopped we were relieved and we all took a big sigh.
Bad idea.
I could just make out two shadows under the door coming from outside.
Who ever it was was outside.
They would've heard us because once they all realized that, the door knob starting jiggling. No, definitely not a teacher.
But the thing that bothers me is that how did that person get inside the library if all the 3 library doors were locked?
But then I remembered Miss Spencer only locked one door.
