"What makes you think yer good enough for my son?" Came a deep, gruff voice.

This came from Orpheus 'Dualscar' Ampora, Eridan's father. Orpheus stood at a height of 6'5" and had the body of a brick wall. Two scars stretch upon his face, nobody knows how he got them, and if anything they just added on to his menacing appearance, the scowl not helping.

He has Eridan's light brown hair with gray streaks showing his age and light blue/purple eyes. His face chiseled with only light stubble, showing that he came from an aristocratic bloodline. Orpheus was born from a Scottish father and Italian mother, both known to be protective and anger easily.

"Thir, I love Eridan. I would do anything for him and I would never make him cry. Thure, we have our fightth but we thtill make up and apologize." Replied Solluxander (Sollux for short) Captor.

You're probably wondering what's happening. Well in their 9 month long relationship, Eridan thought it would be crucial for Sollux to meet his family for dinner. However the moment they arrived, Dualscar and Cronus, Eridan's brother, gave Sollux the cold shoulder.

"I still don't believe you." This came from Eridan's older brother Cronus.

Much like their father, Cronus has a bulky build. He was giving Sollux a glare, his muscled arms folded across his chest.

Sollux gulped. He chose his next words carefully, any wrong word could cause him to get his ass beat.

"Well... if you're wondering why I love Eridan, then it'th not the reathonth your thinking of. Thure ED ith handthome/beautiful, but I love him becauthe he'th hath an amazing perthonality and hith 'take thit from no one attitude' ith another reathon why I love him. But motht of all.. I love him becauthe he hath a heart of pure gold." Sollux spoke truthfully and confidently.

The three Amporas reactions varied. Eridan had a shocked, yet happy look on his face with tears gathering in his eyes, Cronus's teeth were gritted though he have Sollux a look of grudging respect, and Dualscar seemed approving.

"I see... Very well lad, you can date my son." Dualscar spoke at last. Eridan cheered and hugged Sollux tightly.

"However, if you break his heart... Cronus and I will hang your head on a mantle on our wall. And no one will find your body. Do you understand boy?" Dualscar inquired.

Sollux nodded his head fearfully and was thankful that Eridan pulled him out of there. It will be a long while before Sollux decides to go back to the Ampora household.
