"There she goes again. I'll go calm her dowwn." Was what Eridan told Sollux. This was the tenth time in two weeks that Eridan and Sollux's baby girl has cried since she came home. Eridan apparently could get pregnant because he was born with a womb. Then came the day Carina was born into the world.

Now Eridan and Sollux were tired. Eridan was always the one to put baby Carina back to sleep. Now it's Sollux's turn.

"No babe I'll go put her back to thleep. You need your retht." With that Eridan muttered a thank you and went back to sleep. With a soft smile at his husband, Sollux kissed Eridan's forehead and went to calm down Carina.

Waaaaaaaaaah~!

Man, Carina sure is screaming loud tonight. Were the thoughts of Sollux. He quietly tiptoed into Carina's room and over to her crib.

Carina was a pretty and small baby, with her 'mommy's' complexion and her father's multicolored eyes. She had soft, fluffy black hair that curls inwards at the ends. Her face was red from wailing. Her face scrunched up with tears falling from her eyes. She was wearing baby purple pajamas.

"Ssh, sh. Hey what'th all that futh about? Why're you crying?" He cooed to her. She just cried louder. Sollux picked her up from her crib and held her closely to his chest. Sollux cleared his throat and began to sing

Hush, little baby, don't say a word.
Papa's gonna buy you a mockingbird

And if that mockingbird won't sing,
Papa's gonna buy you a diamond ring

And if that diamond ring turns brass,
Papa's gonna buy you a looking glass

And if that looking glass gets broke,
Papa's gonna buy you a billy goat

And if that billy goat won't pull,
Papa's gonna buy you a cart and bull

And if that cart and bull turn over,
Papa's gonna buy you a dog named Rover

And if that dog named Rover won't bark
Papa's gonna buy you a horse and cart

And if that horse and cart fall down,
You'll still be the sweetest little baby in town.

All that was heard was Carina quieting down. She fell back to sleep as Sollux put her back in the crib. He kissed her forehead and closed her door. Sollux went back into the bedroom and went back to sleep with happy dreams of his little girl.
