A normal, relaxing day at Alternia High. Everybody was just minding their own business, mingling with their friends and having a grand time.

One student, however, preferred to be alone rather than sit and talk with the other teenagers. Currently this boy was in one of the many music rooms which was abandoned at the moment.

This boy was of average height with fluffy brunette hair, with a purple streak in the middle. Across his nose was covered in freckles that contrasted against his fair skin. His eyes were blue mixed with a little purple. He wore rectangular glasses, a purple vest, skinny jeans, and loafers.

His name was Eridan Ampora, a 16 year old junior. Eridan comes into the abandoned music room whenever he feels stressed out and sings his little heart out.

He stood in the center of the room and took a deep breath.

I can't help it if I make a scene
Stepping out my hot pink limousine.
Turning heads and I'm stopping traffic,
When I pose, they scream, when I joke, they laugh

Someone hears singing coming from the music room. A boy also of 16 years of age walks up to the doorway of the music room and sees Eridan singing. Eridan doesn't noticed the watcher.

I've got a pair of eyes that they're
getting lost in,
They're hypnotized by my way of walking,
I've got them dazzled like a stage magician
When I point, they look, when I talk, they listen well

Everybody needs a friend and I got you and you and you...

Eridan paused when he heard clapping. He paled and spun around to face the doorway and saw Sollux Captor. He squealed in surprise.

"Wow I'm imprethed. You can actually thing." Sollux complimented.

"H-Howw long wwere you standin' there?!"

"Long enough." Sollux walks inside the room and grinned at Eridan. "I didn't know you liked to thing ED."

"Yeah, so wwhat? You gonna make fun of me?" Eridan glared at him, daring him to make fun of him.

"No! I thought... that you looked really good thinging. You looked... Amazing." Sollux admitted with a blush. "It'th jutht that I've never heard you thing before until now. Why ith that?" Before answering, Eridan looked at Sollux with searching eyes trying to see if he'll make fun of him. All Eridan saw was pure curiosity and no malice whatsoever.

"WWell..wwhenevvver I did try to sing evveryone wwould make fun of me for sounding feminine. So I just stopped singing in front of people and sang in secret." Eridan admitted with a sad tone, looking down at his feet waiting for Sollux to begin laughing at him.

"Well that'th thtupid! Your voice thoundth amazing! In fact you thould thing more often. Thothe people were jealouth that you thounded tho good thinging, tho they tried to bring you down. You thould flaunt your voice." Sollux spoke with such honesty that it made Eridan blush.

It was refreshing to Eridan that someone loved his singing and wanted to hear more of it.

"If... if you wwant, I'll sing some more..." The hipster offered shyly. Sollux looked at Eridan in shock, before sitting down in a chair.

"Well go ahead and woo me ED." He said in an encouraging voice. And the two of them sat in the music room, enjoying each other's company as Eridan sang his heart out.
