As Phoenix slept, her mind drifted to other places.

It began as she was walking through a meadow. The air was still, not a sound around. No insects. No birds. Not even her steps made noise.

The flowers were all different shades but they seemed to fade to different colors as she looked at them, as if she wasn't supposed to know their true colors.

As she walked, the flowers bent away from her feet creating a small path. It seemed the plants were afraid to be crushed and ran away once they saw her approaching.

The daughter of Apollo didn't know where she was going. She just kept walking. She continued to walk until she had convinced herself that she was walking in a loop.

Until she wasn't.

Up ahead there was a bright light, floating in the air. It got brighter and brighter as she got closer.

She looked over her shoulder, finally to see that each and every flower wilted after she passed it. Instead of their bright beautiful petals they were now dark and crumbling.

She began to run faster as if something in her brain was warning her to get away.

But as she ran further, the light got brighter and brighter. It flooded her eyes with a light so unbearable even she felt like she couldn't see.

Soon, the light took up her entire vision and she couldn't see anything. She squeezed her eyes shut and fell to the ground.

Except she didn't hit the ground, she continued to fall and fall.

She opened her eyes in confusion and found herself floating through the sky except the sky was blood red.

The same golden light was far way, zooming closer towards her as she fell.

The space around her got brighter and brighter once more until she hit it with a thud.

"Dad!" She cried before everything went black.

The demigods could see the white flag from half a mile away. It was as big as a soccer field, carried by a thirty-foot tall giant with bright blue skin and icy gray hair.

"A Hyperborean," Thalia said. "The giants of the north. It's a bad sign that they sided with Kronos. They're usually peaceful."

"You've met them?" Percy asked her.

"Mmm. There's a big colony in Alberta. You do not want to get into a snowball fight with those guys."

As the giant got closer, Percy could see three human-size envoys with him: a half-blood in armor, an empousa demon with a black dress and flaming hair, and a tall man in a tuxedo.

The empousa held the tux dude's arm, so they looked like a couple on their way to a Broadway show or something— except for her flaming hair and fangs.

The group walked leisurely toward the Heckscher Playground. The swings and ball courts were empty. The only sound was the fountain on Umpire Rock.

Percy looked at Grover. "The tux dude is the Titan?"

He nodded nervously. "He looks like a magician. I hate magicians. They usually have rabbits."

Percy stared at him. "You're scared of bunnies?"

"Blah-hah-hah! They're big bullies. Always stealing celery from defenseless satyrs!"

Thalia coughed.

"What?" Grover demanded.

"We'll have to work on your bunny phobia later," Percy said. "Here they come."
