Before I knew what was happening I tripped over the last step and face planted. In front of the class.
The. Entire. Fuçking. Class.
Jesus Christ why must these things happen to me.
I felt several hands reach down and help me up but I heard him say "It's okay, I got her."
Once I stood up and got my life semi-together I was able to get a better look at him. He had darker skin and dark features, and of course those startling blue eyes. Let me just say he was beautiful. Like godly beautiful.
"Hey, are you okay? I didn't mean to startle you. It's just that I didn't think I would ever see you again after that night" he admitted.
"Who are you?" My voice sounding more venomous than I thought possible.
He narrowed his eyes and took a second to study me. Feeling self conscious, yet again, I looked down to the floor.
"I'm Aaron" he said, "you don't remember me?"
Just your eyes
"Um, no not really" I said looking back up.
"Well then, I guess we have a lot of catching up to do," he said with a wink.

We walked to the coffee shop on the other side of campus in silence, not knowing what to say to each other. What do I say to a guy that caught me jumping off a bridge and more than likely saved my life?
Um hey, thanks for saving my life even though it kinda defeats the purpose of what I was trying to do!
But after we got our drinks and sat down a question dawned on me and I just had to know.
"How did you know where I lived?" Again, my words sounded too harsh, but I was too shocked to fix it. But he didn't seem to notice.
"Uh," He paused, looking very confused, then he said "you told me... That's why I don't understand why you didn't remember me."
Not wanting to dwell on that detail I continued with questions that have been haunting me for two weeks.
"What were you even doing on that bridge anyway?"
"The same reason you were."
What? That doesn't make any sense. I narrowed my eyes.
"Oh," he said quietly, "okay that was a shitty thing to say." A little louder he added, "Not the same reason you were. I jump off cliffs and bridges as a hobby." He took a moment to think. I was going to respond but he looked too deep in thought and I didn't really want to interrupt. "I saw you, I could see the fear and sadness radiating off you and then you jumped before I could stop you."
My jaw dropped at this. I didn't know how to respond.
"I jumped in without thinking I just had a feeling that you wanted me to, that you wanted be saved."
"I didn't know what I wanted." And I still don't.
At that we sat in silence. But it wasn't awkward like on the way here. We were both too deep in thought to notice.
"Well, dámn" he said, "this is not how I thought today would go"
That shook me out of my moment of shock.
"Look, thanks for saving me, really, but I have to go." I was glad I got my answers but there's only so much of this conversation I could take without being thrown back in the same darkness I was in before.
He looked disappointed. "No wait! You still owe me some answers!" He paused, "including your name."
"Skyrah, but as far as the answers go... That's not really any of your business is it?" I asked.
"Woah, Okay that's a 180 in mood. It's not like I saved your life or anything."
I can't believe he's throwing that backs in my face!
"First of all, contrary to what you believe, I didn't ask to be saved!"
He looked angry and hurt but he just sighed and said "Whatever, see you in class, Skyrah."
"Bye Aaron." And with his name hanging in the air, I turned around and walked away.
