"Well that sure was something," Victoria mumbled to herself. Ever since they've been to that Yesmen-dimension place, Viridian had been dying to go to a new dimension, and mostly all he did was trying to find somewhere legit to go. She was walking back to her lab when she heard Vermilion's trademark snicker. Uh-oh.
She silently walked up to the Officer's room, which was shut, and put her ear against the wall. "This is going to be hilarious," She heard Verdigris say, giddy with excitement. She frowned. What were they planning?
She opened the door and both villis froze staring at her. She looked over the room and saw Viridian's water bottle and... Was that an alcohol bottle on the floor?
"Have you two been drinking?" Victoria asked, worried. Since when were either of them alcoholics?
"No," Verdigris replied with a straight face. Then he grinned. "Not today anyway." They both started to laugh. The blue villi walked over and picked up the bottle. It was still full, so they were telling the truth. But still, what were they thinking about?
"If you'll excuse us, we'll be going back to what we were doing," he said, and got up and started to comically push Victoria out the door.
"Wait! I promise I won't tell anyone anything if you tell me," Victoria pleaded, curious. Verdigris stopped, and Vermilion looked her over. They both knew very well that the blue villi didn't lie.
"Alright then," Vermilion decided, smirking. He got off his bed and shut the door. "We're going to take the taste and color out of the alcohol, dump out the captain's water bottle, replace it with the alcohol, then wait and see what happens." Victoria frowned.
"Isn't that a form of mutiny?" She questioned fearfully.
"Victoria, it's only mutiny if your trying to take over. All we're doing is get him in a better mood," Verdigris replied.
"I don't think drugging Viridian is going to make him happy guys," she stated, still unsure.
"That's where you come in," Vermilion said. "When he gets clear-headed enough to try and catch us, we'll hide in your room. He'll never expect it."
"But still, last time I checked, the Cap doesn't drink, so his tolerance is probably really low."
"Well, you're right about that one," Verdigris said, twiddling his fingers. "We're only going to put in a quarter of it anyway. He'll be fine." Vic sighed.
"Fine. And before you ask, yes you can use my lab, but it's on you to figure out what to say if someone sees you in there," The blue villi said half-heartedly. Verdigris then poured a cup of the drink, and walked over to the lab, leaving the other two siting in silence. Vermilion's eyes were slit, which was a sign of him thinking. It still looked creepy however.
She tried not to stare, but her gaze could not peel off the red villis eyes. Since villis have black eyes, it's easy to see through them. Vermilion always had fire in his eyes, whether or not he was relaxed. He even died saving the captain in Switchback once, but the fire was still there, always ready to fight.
'It's also why he's such a troll most of the time,' she thought.
Unfortunately, she realized too late that she was grinning dreamingly the whole time, and by the time she snapped out of her thoughts, Vermilion had seen her staring. "Hello? Are you ok?"
Victoria could feel her face flush crimson. Luckily for the two Verdigris opened the door, saving them from the awkwardness. Vermilion silently took the water from Viridian's bottle and dumped it inside the alcohol that was left. Either he didn't want to risk getting caught with Viridian's personal belongings, or he was severely distracted.
Verdigris poured the drink into the bottle and smiled. "Well, what are we waiting for?" Vermilion grabbed the drugged bottle and ran off to Viridian's room, smirking with Vic and Verdigris right behind him. He tried the door to the room. Locked.
"Now how are we going to get in? Rocket launchers?" Victoria asked them. Vermilion only smiled, which made her question his sanity. He pulled a bent paper clip out of his pocket and stuck it inside the knob. It turned. The blue villi sighed, relieved.
"What? Did you seriously think that we were going to blow it up?" Verdigris asked. "We're not that crazy." Victoria didn't reply, only sheepishly nodding as she watched Vermilion place the object that was the cause of this back on the dresser. He then ran out of the room with Verdigris right after him, giggling. 'Boys,' Victoria thought as she locked the door behind her. Wondering why they ran, but feeling like something was forgotten, she dashed after them into Vermilion's room, flying onto the bed as he slammed the door shut, laughing with Verdigris.
"Honestly, I can't tell if you guys are either kids disguised as adults or if you're insane," she said disdainfully as they calmed down.
"Well, there isn't really much to do here, so pranking gives me the closest thing to an adrenaline rush. Besides playing games," Vermilion panted. He sighed and laid down on his bed, apparently not noticing her on it. "Now, we wait and see what happens."
So, what do you think about part one of Water Bottles? Was anything really forgotten? Does Vermilion have a crush on Victoria? And will Captain Viridian fall for the prank? Find out next time in VVVVVV shorts! Sorry it took so long!

FanfictionOnce upon a time, years ago, I was a small child obsessed with the characters in VVVVVV. So, I wrote these short stories, which I now regard as *very* cringy. Some, of course, are much cringier than others. Feel free to read them at your own peril...
