My mirror was like an illusion, I was looking at myself but it wasn't me. I couldn't take it. Annabelle didn't do my hair since I hate it when people touch it. I ripped off my dress and threw it on my bed, I couldn't stand wearing something that Annabelle told me I looked good in. I used makeup remover to get off the blush and eye shadow she put on. I was going to get Aidan to like me by looking like myself. I applied mascara and eyeliner. My hair was going to be as it always is. The outfit I was wearing before looked like something I would dress in any day, except the shirt was wrinkled so I put on the same tank top but in blue to make my eyes stand out. I also but on jeans so I could look more casual.

When I was done, I didn't know what to do. Then I heard Scott come home. I rushed out to greet him. I didn't want him to be scooped into doing chores yet since I needed advice from him. "Hey Cass, what's up?" I didn't reply, instead I grabbed his hand, dragging him to my room. "What are you doing?" We made it to my room, but as we passed Annabelle's room she gazed out. I tried not to look her in the eye, but they somehow met. I shut the door in the middle of our stare.

"Okay," I said. "Does this look like an outfit I would wear everyday?"

"Uh yeah. You wear it all the time just in different colors." Scott retorted.

"Okay good, but does it represent me?"

"Um... I don't know, I guess since you love those tank tops." I accepted the answer.

"Good, because this is what I'm wearing when I take my picture." I grinned.

"Okay, and why couldn't you ask Annabelle these questions?" Scott interrogated.

"I don't know."

"You got into a fight?"

"Yep."

"K, well I hope it works out. Gotta go now." I nodded as he left my room. Instead of putting on my jean jacket, I put on my black one and got matching black flats with it.

A red car then pulled up in the front of my house. I couldn't be happier to see the mailman. I raced to the door and opened it wide. "Hi Mr. Jefferson!" I was acting all perky.

"Hello Ms. Green, you must be happy about getting these Selection forms." He answered.

"Yes I am."

"Well here's your family mail. I'll see you on Monday." He waved goodbye as he walked to his car.

"Thank you, bye." I bolted inside with all the letters in hand. As I set them all down on my living room table, I searched for the envelope with the two Selection forms. Then I spotted the orange folder, which I snatched up and ripped open. I stared at the paper for minute, reading each of the questions on it. I filled it all in as quickly as possible and it read:

Name: Cassidy Green
Caste: Two
Province: Sumner
Address: 21 Harlem Street
Hair Color: Light Brown
Eye Color: Blue
Talents: Can Do 150 Sit-ups Without Stopping, Can Do The Worm

I had no idea what to put down for talents since I wasn't that talented. Doing the worm isn't that impressive, but maybe he will be intrigued enough that he would want to see me do it.

Annabelle then speed walked in grabbing the paper and quickly heading back towards her room. When I turned to see her, she was in a red dress that went well with her ruby red heels. Before she closed her door to her room, she spoke, "Can you please return my dress?"

"You have two feet, go into my room and get it yourself!" I shouted.

"Fine." She skipped into my room and exited with the aqua dress in hand. "When are you leaving for the Selection?"
