King Wither presided over the Nether's longest period of peace. The wither skeletons stayed in their kingdom on the western shores of Lava Lake and the dreaded Blaze Brothers kept their army of magma cubes safely within their borders. A hundred years passed in this simple way, but, just as lava must turn to obsidian when it touches water, the peace changed to war when the Wither King left his realm.

Only the wither's middle head was king. His right and left heads acted as advisors to the crown. When King Wither faced a troublesome problem, he turned to one or the other for counsel and advice. Each had a reputation. The right head was known to be peaceful, empathetic, and kind—though he was also a bit of pushover. The left head could be crass and mean, but he was an excellent problem solver. In theory, the two struck a sensible balance, which meant that the peace should have been extended rather than ended.

But things don't always work out as they should, do they?

This true and historical book contains entries from King Wither's personal diary. As you will see shortly, he had many problems, few solutions, and one risky adventure.
